Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Fair fücks to Lando!

Watching Lando fighting with Hamilton, Kimi, Vettel and Verstappen is great. Shame that the difference in car performance is so great that they just breeze by in the end.

Kubica suddenly dropped like a stone to the back and 3 seconds behind Kvyat. I wonder did he make a mistake or is he just really really slow

Mercedes seem to be waiting for leclerc to pit to overcut him

Thursday: Gonna be warm, ooh tyres!
Friday: It's warm, tyres are going off quick
    Saturday: Oh God the tyres!
Sunday afternoon: One stop, no problem.
Sunday evening: Tyres could be an issue at the next race.

Shout out to Russell looking competitive at least.

Long way to go and this is already much more entertaining than last week's race.

Everyone's pretty much in the position they should be now, might get a pass in the pits before the end.

In fact that scrap at the back was great. Albon passing everyone, fighting with the Haas. Russell trying to sneak in as well then immediately battling Kvyat behind him. Great stuff.

Lando's not so small in Kimi's mirrors now :)

I remember the whinging about the pirellis going off to quickly and now we are cemented to one stops.

Wonder how many cars will be on the lead lap at the end, it's a short track.

Yup. I find it hard to criticise Pirelli, they've pretty much ticked the boxes of what they were told to do at all times. Even when someone sets a fast lap on what are supposed to be bubble gum tyres they can still do a quarter distance with little hassle. Teams have just managed to figure it out.

No safety car it'll be the current top 5 just.

Have KMag as the first to retire at 25/1. Looking good so far. It'll be a hat-trick of first retirees!

Feck sake Ferrari - excellent idea, terrible execution

Even if that move by Ferrari had "worked" he still would have had a couple of cars between him and Bottas and lost time. Idiots.

Seb flying and Lewis needs a new front wing, Jaysus this is great!

So, how do Mercedes-Benz use Bottas at this stage? Chase Leclerc or hold up Vettel

Without safety car or overtake they come home 2 and 5
Edith : chase leclerc, wdc is theirs anyway

Wrong ice man versus tulip now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,250 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Another stupid move from Ferrari. Giving up track position to Hamilton. Meaning even though he has fast tyres. He'll have to overtake Hamilton on track and he's not been very good at that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,492 ✭✭✭Harika

With out botched start verstappen would have been in for the win

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    Vettel will easily pass Hamilton

Hamilton should also pit nearer the end for fresh tyres and try set the fastest lap. He will finish 5th either way.

    Verstappen losing power

    Honda striking again.

Max losing power? Feck, that's harsh.

    Obviously hasn't lost that much!

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

No ******* around from Max, straight up the inside. What a pass

Leclerc or Honda first win. Like a child in front of a candy store

Nah, sounds like it was a sensor issue which can be easily fixed inside the cockpit.

The best race of the year by a country mile regardless of what happens in the remaining laps.

Max will go down in history as the man that saved F1
Following a horrendous start he doesn’t “do a Hamilton” he just gets on with it.
    Go Max!

Yes Crofty it is great hearing joy in a Formula 1 driver's voice. Much better than someone leading from lights to flag and pissing and moaning for an hour and a half.

Right call to pit Vettel, worth a try. 6th place could be a fight before the end. Don't mind which of the top 2 now wins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,028 ✭✭✭H3llR4iser

Great drives from both Verstappen and Vettel, Leclerc deserves the win 'thuough.

Also, I'm starting to harbour an irrational hatred for the Dutch fans :/
