M8 or MXIII are good entry level boxes and should cost you 50-70e. I would recommend starting with one of these and only getting something better (such as a Minix x8h or HTPC with Linux / OpenElec or similar)

Personally I'm using an MXIII 2gb (solid box, never given any trouble), a HP 260 g1 running Windows 8.1 (this is my main box, a great deal for 137e but needs a few gb extra ram and maybe a SSD), and a cheaper Mk808b which only cost 25e or so.

Amazon Fire TV stick is also a good option but you need a decent WiFi as it doesn't have an ethernet port

I just ordered a MXIII 2GB from a certain banned Chinese website (rhymes with smear-test) using their European warehouse option. Cost $63.99 + €4 parcel motel. They don't deliver to Ireland from their Euro warehouse. Seems like a good deal given the specs.

There's no way you'll get a proper M8 for that kind of money!

Amazon Fire TV is now down to £59, supposed to be a great box for Kodi if you sideload it, and hardware probably more reliable than some others

What's the obsession with eBay and buying from China. That box is about 45 and you could get done for customs on it.

You'll get a great box on amazon for 55/60.

It's the keyboard/controller that comes with post 20.

Controller seems awful poor quality, might go back to a Bluetooth mouse

If you look a few posts below i stressed that people should not buy that controller.

You need a mele f10 but it will cost you either way you need a 'fly mouse' you can get one for as little as 8e free delivery but the mele is 25-40 euro.
