Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With regards to the scratch-card, do you now have to shop twice in a 72 hour period? I shopped this morning (one shop) but received no scratch-card after...I'm just wondering if the terms of the scratch-card offer has changed in recent days..

I wonder as an effort to work within the new terms you could split your shop and scan the app twice, maybe

Just shop as normal but ull get scratch if there is 72 hours or more between your shops. If you didn't get one today there might be an issue as a few ppl on this thread saying they didn't get one so ring them id say they'll sort u out I've had to ring them a few times and they were v helpful

OH still didn't get the scratch card from a day or two ago, not complaining yet as another poster did for us and support told them it can take a while, which I experienced a week ago when it tools couple of hours to show up in her app.

Honestly I just want gomo to fix my phone so I can get the SMS code to have my own account...

Did you contact GoMo directly to make sure they don't have the messages blocked? That was issue with my bfs one eir had premium messages blocked.

Do you have premium SMS barred? I know it's not a premium SMS but the code wouldn't deliver to my Vodafone SIM until I unbarred premium SMS. I rebarred them again after I received the code.

Those of you not getting scratch cards, did you make sure to verify your email addresses?

Just a heads up for others, I was in Lidl last night, I didnt want any of the app offers so I didnt activate any. But I did want the scratchcard but upon opening the app the QR code wasnt to be found anywhere. Got home and thought that the QR code might only show up if you have at least one of the offers activated. But just checked the app now and what actually happened is that it somehow logged itself out and needed logging in again for the QR code to be visible.

Always handy to have a screenshot of the QR code so even if the app is out of action for some reason, you can still scan it at the checkout.

Stupid question maybe, but is there any benefit apart from a digital receipt to scan the app at the till if you are not buying any of the offers and have no vouchers and only go once a week?

You get a scratch card every 72 hours or in your case every week, giving you something free or money off, other than that no benefit.

10th August - shopped in Lidl, received ScratchCard.
12th August - shopped in Lidl, used the SC from 10th. Didn't get another SC but that's ok as it was within the 72 hours and I wasn't expecting one.
14th August - shopped in Lidl, no SC, but there should be one, it was over 96 hours since I got the one on the 10th...

On android you can star an individual receipt (the star is in the top right) although it is hard to spot the stared receipts in the list. Beside the star if you click the 3 dots you can download the receipt (as a jpg on your phone) or better still share it and store it in an email or google drive where you can add comments to search for your receipt for your canoe/chainsaw/robot vacuum cleaner later

good idea, I have sorted that now. I have no ideas how the app logged itself out in the first place. Maybe it happened when I cleared the phones cache or something. Was in the queue furiously looking for the QR code in the app but it wasnt there because I had been logged out.

AFAIK you still get (or should get) a scratchcard even if you dont buy any of the offers. You could get the scratchcard, scratch it and go back around again to get whatever the offer is on it. Thats provided it shows up immediately on your phone, it has for me in the past but some other posters reported it took an hour or so.

I suspect they'll have a screen with just the fav'd receipts in a future update.

Login using mobile phone and it texts you a verification code.

How long do you have after you get a scratch card before it expires?

I used mine the very day I did my shop, and it showed a money-off voucher that is expiring today, but I hadn't planned on going to Lidl until Friday, so maybe I could have waited before scratching the card.

Just to follow up on this. I got my scratch card on Wed. It said it expired in 7 days which is next Wednesday.

Opened app tonight and says I have 3 days left as it's Sunday.

Scratched the card and won biscuits but I now have 6 days to claim rather than 3, so it seems the scratch card and winnings expire at a week each so you could in theory have 2 weeks to claim.

I have the app on two phones, my personal one for me and my work one for my parents who don't have a smartphone. I had to log into the app on both phones today to get the Lidl card to appear so it must periodically log you out. I only had to re-enter my phone number and password to log back in. I didn't need to go through the text verification process again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 402 ✭✭rogieop

Just checked and all my offers from last week which I used up are available to me again. Pain au chocolate, coke, hunky dorys etc. Same account and never logged out etc.
    Might be worth checking out...

Same here but I've only one phone.
Was wondering as it never happened before.

A handy trick if you want double the deals is use a family members number to sign up and use the Stocard app to add their card to your own phone. Two QR codes then on one phone. Happy days.

But wouldn't you ( or they) need to go into the app periodically to activate the offers?

Yeah. Once a week get them to open the app and activate all.

I thought that but sometimes they change what is on offer and that deactivates it. Like they added a 2nd type of chorizo, added washing capsules to the toilet roll offer, and you had to go in to activate it again.
I guess you'd just have to tell whoever has the 2nd phone to go in again though

I wonder if the recent Covid outbreaks in the meat factories here is the reason why the carved ham slices were not on the app even though they were advertised? When I was in there today I noticed all the usual Lidl branded ham like Glensallagh were missing and replaced with different brands. Cookstown was the main replacement. There was very little sliced chicken etc either.

I suppose if production at these plants is halted for any length of time it will have a knock on effect to the supply chain.

Apologies if previously posted but my app isn't saving digital receipts? Its applying the coupons in store so not sure what the problem is.

Malted milk biscuits in today's scratch card. I got no card for the previous shop even though there had been a 4 day gap. I thought there were specific cards for specific time periods but I wonder now does everyone work through the same scratch cards regardless of when you go in?

I think they're the same for everyone with a chance at a few other prizes.

My proof is going into Lidl and seeing piles of malted milk biscuits on the same shelf as the offers. :P

The app will not let me login. Keeps returning to login page after I have successfully input the details. It’s not firing the webpage associated and I have cookies etc enabled.

Anyone got any clue why? iPhone

Read the Lidl App was the most downloaded App in Ireland over last few weeks before the Covid App came on board.
Up to 10 days ago, there were over 440,000 downloads of the App.
That's a lot of free biscuits, chocolate etc to give out.
