I always pick then come what may. I know it’s more than likely a loss but you never know. also, I’ve to pay attention to MNF which I don’t normally watch live but will have to this week.

I have a Pats mate that picks them every week in our league and it's killing him week-to-week in the league. Same with the missus and her picking of the Browns EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Not so bad this year, but it has been a killer for her aspirations.

I have no such qualms. The Broncos are gash.

Ravens v Steelers postponed, possibly will take place Sunday

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,156 ✭✭✭✭Foxtrol

NFL seems to have zero consistency regarding when it pushes games or leaves them, which is in no way surprising given their history of inconsistent decisions.

Steelers players are rightfully annoyed at missing out on such a big opportunity to play in front of an enormous audience and also missing out on a badly needed mini-bye week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Ravens and steelers game that was set for thanksgiving(tomorrow) has been moved from that date til Sunday. Just looking online and some steelers aren’t happy that this has happened twice now to them and they weren’t the cause of it. I know this might not be popular or maybe it is, but at this stage the nfl need to think about having teams who are unable or unwilling(more the latter) to keep the players and staff safe against Covid-19 having to forfeit games. And that should apply to all teams whether it’s a team in the no1 seed or a team who is already on the clock for the draft.

I think this is just the last straw for some of the Steelers players after they were forced to take an early bye week earlier in the season as well during the Titans debacle. I see a lot of them expressing their displeasure on Twitter

I can understand the NFL moving the game under the circumstances but you are right about the lack of consistency. Didn’t the League make the Raiders play without several linemen a few weeks ago? What’s the difference here?

They did and also the San Francisco 49ers had to play with their tribute to the 1982 and 1987 strike team. I don’t see why it shouldn’t be the same across the board.

Have the NFL given a reason at all given how it's been handled thus far?

I’d imagine that this particular game was moved because Ravens players are still testing positive and the game is tomorrow. Too much risk of it spreading further. They probably want it all to settle down and have a few days of no further cases before bringing the team back together and letting the Ravens back on the field. Unfortunate but understandable

I can’t remember the circumstances behind the Raiders and 49ers games, I’m guessing the cases well were earlier in the week and the game Sunday

I think they're still expecting more players to test positive.

At least moving it to Sunday means that the close contacts have a chance of making it. Thursday means they all miss.

49ers were informed a player tested positive on Wednesday morning and they had to play the very next night down that player and 3 others deemed close contacts. The NFL had no idea how many other players might have tested positive over the next few days but pushed ahead.

I'm sure they have some excuse regarding the number of players that were positive at that point in time or the number of contacts but like everything else they can manipulate the rules to suit themselves.

Yeah there's a distinct sense that the NFL are just making it up as they go along, same as how they handle every problem they encounter; why bother with having a policy and sticking to it, we'll just make one up on the fly and U-turn on it if needs be.

Vince Young on SS for the games tonight. Seems a good talker. Makes me feel so.old looking at him with a bit of grey in his beard. I remember being so excited watching him playing for the Longhorns and it doesn't feel that long ago.
Was sure he was going to change the QB position the NFL and maybe he would have if he had got with.the right franchise. His skills are what we are seeing from the best in the NFL now.

Also there’s eleven minutes left in the fourth quarter. I know there’s only two games today but they don’t seen to be in a rush.

Yeah, on offence, which hasn't really been the biggest problem most of the year.
The problem is the defence which is supposedly Patricia speciality. In the last five games they've given up 163 points. No offence is going to keep up when leaking that many points.
He's turned what was a perennial playoff contender under Caldwell, into a laughing stock.

I think that team was at the end of its time. He faced a rebuild if I remember correctly.

Not a hope. If you can't improve the team after three years, then your time is up. He's completely revamped the defence, brought in all his own players & its a complete dumpster fire.
I'd be very surprised if he gets another season, especially looking at this photo of the Lions owner taken at todays game. It paints a thousand words.

That chase from McClaurin after the INT was really something. Cowboys come away with just a FG. Fair fúcks to the Football Team D.

Normally I’d say no but this is Jerry Jones and all that goes with it so maybe.
