Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is Tony Roma's gone for good?

Probably. Pity I never tried it. Ah well.

Cant believe it myself. Just saw that it was him on the news.
Always a gent when we met him drinking around the canal.

Told my mam this morning that he got me a few cans when I was 14, and he did it for the price of 10 cigarettes. A harmless lad, who just kinda kept to himself.

Did anyone join energie fitness. Opinions?

It's just like all the other energie fitness gym or any other commercial gym really equipment wise and staff wise.

I was never there on peak hours so couldn't say what it was like but even on off peak hours it would still be busy enough.

The Applegreen in Caragh are having a sale on Petrol and Diesel until the single lane bridge is fixed. Trying to drum up business seen as their passing trade has been rerouted. Cheaper than Newbridge, according to my dad.

Ate in Thaiger (next to the Post Office) over the weekend. Picked up a voucher online. Was really nice I must say.

Its basically the same as weeping thaiger. Had the take away. No complaints other than a bit on the pricey side but I guess its not your average ****ty chinese. The beef was identifiable as beef at least.

Tried the Thai station beside dominos in Sallins last week. Pretty good too it must be said. As with the above its not overly cheap but food seemed fairly fresh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

I like Thai Station yea it's not cheap but you get what you pay for and the food is very tasty.

Don't feel bad after eating Thai Station depending on what you order but be can be healthy

Very good Lego display, upstairs in the library. And good crowd at the wild food festival. Nice food, and music. Free beer too, small samples though.

No, 4 is just the right age, except in Kilkenny where babies fresh from the womb are given a Hurley.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 23,151 ✭✭✭✭beertons

I imagine they're given a sliotar too, instead of a teething device.

Anyone do the Naas 10km today? Got great weather for it, albeit a little warm. I was working, so never made it up town.

they will take them from 4, usually the nursery group is age 4-5

Tommy Loughrin looks after them at that age. Just fun games and introducing them to the sport

Playing small sided games on the Sunday, think its from 11am. Go down to Charlie White sitting on he steps of the clubhouse on Sunday morning and get his name on the sheet.

Looked busy again this evening. Good few people walking over from Tesco too. Hopefully they get the street lights working, as it was a bit hard to see the people on the footpath. A trip by someone and they could be out under a car in no time.

Got their just before 4. Place was busy, but looked to be managed very well. Now the traffic getting to and from it was another story, but should be a lot better when the Sallins roundabout is finished. Was Friday afternoon though

I know of no free parking in Naas during the week. On street parking is free at weekends though.

There's a little road across from Boots, down by Il Fico. That's a private road. There's double yellow lines on a part of it, but if you find a gap with no lines, stick the car in there. And now its out there, I'll never get a spot down there again!

Are the court doing a BBQ on Sunday when the rugby and soccer is on? Got a day pass for pints, whilst I'm not mad on the place, it might be the clincher for the day.

We've stopped in Graces, just in case anyone is looking for us. I'm a local lad, it's hard for me to pass here and not go in. Marty and the Tom Cruise lad are with me.

Any thoughts for a bank holiday activity in the Kildare area today with a 2 year old? Thinking of lullymore for their Halloween thingy.

    Any other ideas?

Snap. We just packed up to do the same. But I'm out walking the dog now, and I don't think it would be very enjoyable. I'm leaning towards something indoors like tricky tricksters or the fun factory, never been to either of those.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,550 ✭✭✭paddylonglegs

A tricky tricksters boards beers meet up, now that WOULD be interesting!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 23,151 ✭✭✭✭beertons

Been shot down. Lullymore it is.

No beer. Might see ya there.

I'm here. Wrap up. Bit cold, but fun.

2 year old scared and crying already. That aside, I'd say it'll be good fun.
