Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Happy birthday lad.

I see that Mike numbers closed his account today. A thread in AH reminds me of one of my pet online peeves, taunting about post counts.

Lots of people post online, use twitter etc, heck if you have an online account you shouldn't really complain as others in the real world would think you are a nerd just for talking online to strangers.:pac:

Taunting people for having a high post count, or taunting people cause they don't have as many posts as you?

    The first one!:pac:

Jesus, I don't think I ever seen anyone online using " I have more posts than you!" line thankfully.:pac:

mike65 wound people up just by his post count. It was fantastic reading. Random AH weirdos were furious that this user could have so many posts and yet keep under their radar. You can even see it in the AH thread.

I was in the camp where I was aware of him, but I don't think I ever really posted anywhere he did, so I never thought anything of it one way or another.

Went out for some drinks in the Garage in Temple Bar. Didn't enjoy it but someone gave me Assassin's Creed 4 with a big doll figure thing so...

    Knock-outs start today!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Both sides need to practice their penalties. Some were woeful.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,126 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

Feel sorry for Jara with that last penalty. Brazil need a better strike force though, they rely too much on Neymar, and Fred and Jo were both awful.

Accumulator bust on the first game no wonder I don't bet!

I wanted Costa Rica to win that

They still might, looking like penalties again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Whoever wins the penalty shootout now, don't fancy them against Holland on Friday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

Damn Greeks extra time was a killer :(

Glad Greece are out to be honest. I hate watching their games.

    I guess the USA didn't bo-lieve enough.

Edit: And then they go and get one back, just to prove me wrong.

Man, I love America. Just the friendliness, the awesome places to eat, the weather.

Really do plan on moving here someday. Just love it so much.

Do you have a favourite state/city in the U.S or you just like the country in general?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,602 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I've really only visited Orlando so,probably closer to saying I love Orlando and will move here some day, than America in general.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,492 ✭✭✭EdK

Sheer arrogance from the Promoters and the GAA to feel like they would be exempt from the written agreement made with the locals.

I esp feel for anyone who paid over the odds from a scalper or a tout.

Also isnt Tout a bad word...an awful WWE app and an extortionist

Monday and Tuesday got licenses refused so yes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

For all the talk of moving them I think it's too late to apply for licenses to have the other 2 in Cork

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

You'd think that those who live around Croke Park would welcome the revenue the Garth Brooks shows instead of complaining.

I think it's too late to have them anywhere else at this stage.
