Not exactly rocket science. In competitive cycling, power to weight ratio is very significant. Adding a bit of weight to bike would serve as a handicap if such a thing was deemed necessary. That said. I'm not sure it is until such time as other competitive female cyclists raise it as an issue. No offence, but right wing types complaining about transexuals is par for the course, I'd be more interested in what the other athletes have to say.

Unless one happens to be Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, who admits in her own words that it was easy to come out as trans, harder to come out as Republican :D

Caitlyn Jenner said that while she firmly believes in the Republican Party, supporting it has not always been easy.

"It was easy to come out as trans. It was harder to come out as a Republican," Jenner told a crowd in Cleveland on Wednesday at a brunch hosted by the American Unity Fund.

Formerly known as the Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner came out as transgender in 2015. Despite praising Democratic President Barack Obama for policies such as allowing transgender military members to serve openly, Jenner is sticking with the GOP.

Of course she has been roundly criticised as not representative of the trans community, by the trans community (who are represented by whom exactly?), but it’s far more accurate to suggest that they may well be a bunch of left-wing cookies :D

Disclaimer: Not all politically left leaning peeps are cookies (just the ones who claim to represent people they really don’t), I’d hate for anyone to think I was tarring whole groups of people all with the same brush.

There is an issue there because someone like Richard Spencer, for example, is so blatantly and obviously a distasteful individual, with a horrible ideology, while people who are in favor of sucker punching him are not so obviously in the wrong.
Mr Spencer's wife, a Russian woman named Nina Koupriianova who has described herself as a "Kremlin troll leader", is divorcing Mr Spencer claiming multiple instances of physical, emotional and verbal abuse - allegations which are supported in papers filed with the relevant court:

"Racially fluid" born-again African man from Kilburn with two Irish parents scoops £406,500 two-year funding package from Arts Council England.
Lennon, despite having two white parents, has in his past been mistaken for a mixed-race person and once described himself as “African born-again"...
...But although Mr Lennon has adopted a black identity – changing his middle name from Daithi to Ekundayo – he has remained honest about his white ancestry.
Lennon’s new racial identity was apparently born after he failed to achieve success in the acting world as a white man.
The notion of racial fluidity, or transracialism, first hit the headlines when Rachel Dolezal, the white woman posing as an African American, was exposed in 2015 and used it in her defence...
I'd say his mother could tell you a few secrets, if she had a mind to ;)
Article ends with a somewhat bizarre diatribe...
Using racial fluidity as a weapon is simply a more covert, insidious attempt to silence minority progress and elevate whiteness in spaces where it does not belong.

Not another Lennon with a whiter than white agenda Rec? Any Yaxleys in the family? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if himself and Tommy Robinson were cousins; there can't be all that many 2nd generation Irish Lennons in north London.
Neither has a "whiter than white agenda" though, that is just your own unpleasant innuendo. This guy is just playing the system. He is not responsible for creating it.

That's bonkers. Reminds me of Rachel Dolezal. She was a white woman who identified as black and was the president of her local NAACP chapter. She has since fallen afoul of the law, as is common among grifters. Her wiki page that I linked is worth a read if you want a laugh in the morning.

    From that ...
I fear that by identifying as black, Anthony Lennon is elevating whiteness

Wow !! what an absolute racist little cunt Georgina Lawton is !!

dont do drugs kids, oh and Tumblr definitely dont do Tumblr

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6426961/Fashionable-Brighton-school-40-children-not-identify-sex-birth.html
A school in Brighton labelled as 'the coolest state secondary in town' has 40 children who do not identify with their sex at birth with another 36 saying they are 'gender fluid'.

Dorothy Stringer School in Brighton was previously praised by Tatler magazine for its 'liberal vibe' and for having the 'perfect balance between work and fun'.

Headteacher Richard Bradford has revealed that the figures were found in a council survey and they are the highest at any school in the country.

Lisa Littman's theory is that teenagers are turning to gender transition as a way of coping with experiences and stresses they are faced with - and they are encouraged by friends and widespread information on gender issues.

Polly Carmichael, director of the NHS gender service for children, told the Sunday Times that 'without a doubt there are some young people who are finding a community, friends and all sorts of things through joining a group who have an interest around gender. It's probably the case that [some] are caught up in something rather than it being an expression of something that has arisen from within.'

And the NHS area of Surrey, Kent and Sussex - which includes Brighton- has sent more children to the NHS gender service than the whole of Greater London combined.

A Brighton teacher said: 'What's happening is worrying and many of us know it, but nobody wants to speak up and get shot.'

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

Littman's study seems to be the source of a fair bit of controversy, not sure I'd be reading too much into it until the dust settles. Not entirely sure what the panic is either way.

PETA becomes upset in public about phrases which include the names of animals as it's an "anti-animal" thing called "speciesism".

Glad that there are no oppo plants in PETA generating trash like this which - even the dumbest PETA intern must know - feeds, at the speed of light, straight into the right-wing outrage machine.

    More Veganry.
A tribunal is to be asked to decide whether veganism is a "philosophical belief" akin to a religion, in a landmark legal action.
Jordi Casamitjana says he was sacked by the League Against Cruel Sports after disclosing it invested pension funds in firms involved in animal testing.
I'll go out on a cow's limb here and say this chap seems very sensible, despite being a vegan. After all, he was sacked for not being a hypocrite.
Having a moral code is a sort of belief system, in a way.
Certainly it requires some philosophical deep thinking. And his principled stand against his employer took considerable moral courage.

It's absolutely a belief system, in the most fundamental way.

I've no intention of following their guidelines. I figure as long as I'm a meat eater, I may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb.

PETA find it a lot easier to harass little old ladies in fur but not leather clad bikers, why is that?

Could it be that they are a crowd of cowardly bullies...?

I eat what I wear so nothing is killed for fashion. PETA can suck the back of my balls.

When did people get so lazy that they just started dumping videos instead of making their own arguments?

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

Not my point. You've provided no indication whatsoever that you even watched that video.

Mouncey literally towers over opponents and overpowers them in reach, strength, speed, and weight, but has been allowed to compete as a woman despite the incredible advantage.

It's not a "news article" because it's not from a news website (ie, a site which employs journalists) and appears to have little or no fact value. Instead, it's some guy with a beanie hat who's ranting from what may well be his bedroom or some basement somewhere about the "authoritarian regressive left".

    That's an "opinion piece".

    Opinion != news

Enough people seem to have trouble telling the difference these days, that I'm wondering if the reality-based news media should work to create some stylistic conventions - facts in green, opinions in red? - to help people distinguish between the two, at least on reality-based media outlets anyway.

When did people get so lazy that they just started dumping videos instead of making their own arguments?

I feel that it started with Jordan Peterson and his fans. They liked how he made them feel but when they would try to verbalise what he was saying, it sounded like nonsense.

To get around this small problem in online debates where they didn't want to sound silly, yet convey that great feeling of being smart that they felt when the watched a Peterson video, they would instead simply link to a two hour video of Peterson sitting in a chair saying "Cultural Marxism" (not to be confused with Cultural Bolshevism that Hitler kept going on about - totally different) a lot.

In this clever way, they could avoid those feelings of paralysis as they tried to parse Peterson's thoughts into something coherent that wasn't contradicted by reality itself. At the same time, there was always a chance, in their minds, that if people would just watch those two-hour videos of Peterson they would finally get it. They would finally get that feeling of being clever by watching a video. Eventually, they would start sharing videos too and the whole online world could finally end in a singularity of people communicating via Jordan Peterson videos.
