    FLCL manga.

    I bought it at Eirtakon.

I have the DvD's, and the Manga looks like win too. Art style is 'interesting'
    Too bad there's only 2 volumes -- I could've done with 2 more :D

Also, as crazy as the art style in FLCL can get, it has nothing on Gundam Seed Astray R -- which is just a shambolic mess, really.

anybody read the naruto chapter 425
i very much doubt kakashi is dying, id say he's in limbo (between life and death) also it was very interesting about naruto not able to fuse because of the nine tails, id say he'll have an argue with the nine tails demanding co-operation also whats up with Konohamaru, id say he has the thirds staff in his hand

overall im a bit disappointed with the chapter

    its very drawn out tbh

    Just read it today
To be honest, i'm not really sure if he will be killed off or not. As far as naruto is concerned, he has kinda fulfilled his position as his teacher now and has nothing more he can really teach him. Also They're doing the whole "fill in the gaps" story around his character aswell which could mean he is on the way out. Theres just some niggly little things about the last few chapters that make me doubt this is the end for him though.

    On the anime side:
Fight between kakashi and team 10 Vs kakazu and hidan really kicked off in last few episodes but i think this weeks episode was amazing. It was really cool watching kakashi face off against both hidan and kakazu in combat.

Just finished watching Code Geass R2 last night. A perfect ending for a great show.
Just happy that at least Nunally and Karen know what Lelouch had planned.

I won't say it's my favorite just yet, but I can see why it could be. Episode 15 and 16 got corrupted on my DVD so gotta try and get them off a mate some day soon. I can't wait to finish watching so I can watch again:D
I'm on volume 32 of Berserk and I can honestly say I dunno what the hell the hype is about. Up to the part where the past bits ended it was all good but for a good while I've found it to be jumping all over the place. Too much rape and tenticles, the writer must be the horniest fecker I've come across.

FLCL is NUTs. There's a million "Suggestions" threads here but you can't go wrong with some Death Note and Hajime No Ippo

I read tons of Manga, seriously, The last few Manga that've been entertaining me has been Gunsmith Cats, which is soo totaly excellent. Great Characters, excellent storyline and cool action sequences.

As for Anime, the Only series i've been keeping up to date with lately have been, Kurozuka, Kemeko DX, Shikabane Hime (whenever Lunare Releases) and Toradora.

Friend just introduced me to Darker Than Black.

I'm only a couple episodes in, but I'm already intrigued (albeit, still a little confused; but it shan't be long)

Anyone got a recommendation of where to watch 'em? The link she gave me had these really annoying ads that got in the way of the screen and meant I had to watch in full-screen - minor complaint, I know.

Or Bounen no Xam'd, if you prefer things like that.

Quite excellent stuff, in my opinion.

    Very, very awesome dubs! :D

Next up: hoping the rest of Minami-ke sn3 is better than the (piss-poor) opening episode, and anxiously await the second half of Toradora!

Watched Vexille recently, wasn't too impressed, very pretty but also pretty hollow.

Watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time last night, loved it. Very nice style of animation, great humour in the film as well. The ending is a little vague, but the rest of the film is top notch.

I might watch Kiki's Delivery Service tonight, can anyone give me an opinion on that?

Thanks for the opinion. I've watched a few Ghibli films and I've liked nearly all of them. I'll fire it up tonight so, can't wait.

Yeah Kiki's was a great watch :) (any Ghibli movie is!)

Not really watching much at the moment, only Toradora! and Toaru Majetsu no Index really. Both decent watches.

maybe with an exception of My Neighbours the Yamadas. good attempt at something different, but to be fair, its not great.

I haven't seen My Neighbours, so I can't comment on that, but I didn't really enjoy My Neighbour Totoro, although I'd say that this is because it is aimed squarely at young children, and I saw it when I was, err, twenty.

I probably shouldnt have said ALL ghibli movies (i haven't seen all of them, but a good fair few), but all the ones i have seen iv enjoyed greatly

Well, I watched Kiki's Delivery Service tonight, heartily enjoyed it. Full of charm and sparkle, great film. One thing that I noticed in anime compared to western animated films, in terms of ones aimed towards children, there seems to be a distinct lack of schmaltz and more respect for their intelligence towards children in the anime ones that I have seen. Although that seems to be getting better these days with gems like Ratatouille and Wall-E. I respect Pixar as much as Ghibli, they are both producers of such quality.

Aaaw I got Kiki's Delivery Service for christmas and watched it with the boyfriend - think he was intimidated by how much I was enjoying it.

There's something about this type of animation. It isn't patronising to kids, and it's still entertaining to us slightly bigger kids (i.e. we're taller)

Heh, that's quite true. Was it your boyfriend's first time watching an anime directed at children(of all ages)?

I picked up Nausicaa, Porco Rosso and Laputa:Castle In The Sky at the weekend in HMV, they were all going for 13 euro, and I was quite pleased, and tempted to get more.....

Kiki though, great film. Those films are just so.....hearty, if you know what I mean. There are trials and tribulations and drama, but it's sweet at it's heart.(I sound as gay as a pink washbag...)
