Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Serious credit due to these drivers

    Great intuitive start by vettel

Love a bit of synchronised spinning.

How long before the king of spin pirouettes though.

Max attacking the kerbs is surely gonna end in a spin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

    Mighty start from Stroll

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,292 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

The next bit of excitement due will be when the call is made for inters.

Well not Bottas. And not Leclerc either so far.

He already got lucky with one, not sure if he is fully attacking them or struggling for vision if he sticks to the same line as Vettel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,010 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Max is playing it risky on the kerbs

Stroll has a good shout at this. The Racing Points seemed to be among the best at switching on the Inters as well.

Absolutely. Great to have an interesting race on our hands for the first time in ages.

Yet again though unpredictability has proven to be the only way this sport is exciting anymore. Sad but true.

Hopefully Vettel can put in a strong performance, if only for himself and not the team.

Worry though if he starts to watch VER in his mirrors, the now trademark spin can't be far off

Racing Point running 1-2 and both drivers setting fastest laps. I'm in dreamland

    Inters for Leclerc!!!!!!

Red bull is much better on inters

The opposite, Racing Points destroyed everyone on Inters yesterday. Issue for Racing Point is that they need someone else to roll the dice first, can't do it from the lead.

This is a bit too processional at the minute, plus everyone still has their bodywork.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,086 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

Oh god Ferrari are going to feck up Vettel in the pits again aren't they

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Leclerc is flying, time for inters

They Williams have done nothing on Inters, maybe it's because they're worn, but I don't know if it's worth putting them on yet.

Inters working for Leclerc anyways, seb in too.

Maybe its cause they're Williams. :)

Not according to Max. Just set the fastest lap

That Alfa Romeo mechanic looked relieved after the Stroll stop.

    LeClerc now on Int's

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Hamilton on inters was 3 seconds quicker than Verstappen. Red Bull need to save him from himself

Max's race going to get a lot harder, think he will come out 6th

Edit: he has gained so, surprised at that.

Looks like he's gone off the cliff now though

Very exciting pit stop, just about worked out for him.

    This is good stuff.

Well we know how to rejuvenate F1, just make it rain. Rather than making any car changes next year just have all tracks install sprinklers.

Russell flying in theses conditions. Up to 11th and closing in quickly on Magnussen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 515 ✭✭✭Lawlesz

Vettel seems to have incredible traction and grip out of the corners, Hamilton struggling behind him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

    Anymore rain forecast?

Race director sick that the stops have already been made, missed a chance to throw a full SC just as Hamilton got to pit entrance. :pac:

Bernie has probably already secured all rights for the use of sprinkler systems at Motorsport events :D

You're supposed to keep the gap under VSC, yet Strolls lead is now 2 seconds less......

Stroll was 10 seconds clear at the start of the VSC, hope he's kept the gap.

When did Hamilton become sh*t in the wet?

And of course straight on the radio blaming the machinery

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,249 ✭✭✭✭flazio

I'd say the anti Hams are doing cartwheels right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,292 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Max's car always looks to be struggling for traction from the on board.
Previously behind Vettel and just then behind Perez.

He was complaining about the brakes early on

No cartwheels, but might do a few star jumps yet.

    Max max max,

It isn't worth the risk unless you can be sure you are going to get through.
