I like mcfab for the stayers

He was one of my first AP bets of the season but I don't think he wants 3m at Cheltenham and unfortunately Nicholls seems to think the same. I'd be all over him for the Aintree hurdle though which seems the target.

That beginners chase at Fairyhouse tomorrow is well worth a look plenty of handicap winners to come out of it I suspect.
Fancy Thatsy to win and who knows he could end up in something like the Byrne plate...

has there been a worse racer ever run , form wise at least than the boodles last year.

just go back through the result.

not one horse in that is worth a shyte.

    its gas

You go and say that and naturally Aramax wins his first chase at Fairyhouse. It was written in the stars Kelly :D

Asterion Forlonge is a great price tomorrow at 5/2. Cant see him being bet. Getting 11 pounds and going right handed. I think the bookies have got this massively wrong. Atleast on the positive side we should get a decent price on Envoi Allen after tomorrow for Cheltenham. He wont be beat off level weights come March. It will be interesting to see how the bookies price up the marsh after tomorrow. No chance Asterion goes to Cheltenham. Dont think he would have a chance anyway off level weights.

I backed him at 14/1 before he ran at Newbury, I thought his performance at Chepstow was brilliant. Last week I thought he was very good and didn’t need to be in top gear - he beat some good horses too. Cobden and Nicholls both said Cheltenham wouldn’t suit him, add in the 3 mile trip in the stayers and I think he’d struggle. Don’t forget Nicholls knows how to win the stayers better than anyone. Aintree over 2.5 miles will suit him down to the ground and then hopefully out over fences and have a crack at the Marsh Novices at the Festival next year.

    Aftertiming is not allowed.

The only thing that put me off is that nothing else was backed in the race.

Be careful backing Irish races, when a non trier wins races you really see it for the corrupt bag of crap it can be. It must have taken them about half an hour to get through the final 2 furlongs - in a graded hurdle. The whole lot of them looking around like the bent stooges they are.

Monkfish and the big breakaway both in the 3m novice (rsa) will they take each other in or will one go for 4m interesting

Monkfish is definitely going here and I don't think has a lot to worry about from the The Big Breakaway, and I say that as someone with an AP docket for TBB, the horse hasn't impressed at all and the way Tizzard's are running he would get Arkle bet in a Grade 5.

The Big Getaway being injured the main news from todays entries i would say, lost a few quid myself from that.

Was just coming on to say the same thing, criminally under rated.

I've Galvin ante post but to be honest if Latest Exhibition goes here he just wins doesn't he?

If Monkfish beats him again they'll possibly try avoid him in the RSA... Interesting.

Would be shocked if he did but I guess stranger things have happened, I know which one I would prefer to have AP and it isnt Latest Exhibition

He's the new Mikael D'haugenet. Smart hurdler but bashed his way through fences and Mullins never gave up on chasing with him

I was half tempted to look for a price for him for the Stayers but sanity eventually prevailed. No idea what they will do with him now, he is a very very talented horse but mad as a box of frogs!
