    What's the mean temperature now?

    What's the mean temperature now?

14.7c. Bang on average for the month of July. Looks like the month will finish off slightly above average overall, particularlly due to warm nights rather than any prolonged heat during the day. Mullingar and Dublin coolest stations up to now, while Shannon and Valentia the warmest. Will post up a more detailed summary later as I am back home in Tuam with the family at the mo and away from my graphs and stuff.

Near average temperature wise, just 0.3c above:

    July08TempFinal.jpg

Above average rainfall wise; overall, 164% above, with parts of the east 200% + above.

West was the driest area:D But we usually pay for this down the line..

Below average pressure wise, which reflects the generally unsettled theme of July 08:

    July08Pressure.jpg

Finished off at 1011.4 mb, which is 4.4 mb below the 58-88 July mean. Trend going into August is falling slowly, which may indicate a continuation of the unsettled spell over the opening days of August.

Edit: Met Eireann July's Summary just released and can be read here

    Key points:
Wet, Dull, Warmest at Shannon (25.2c). Coolest at Mullingar (3.6c).
