Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe I'm missing something but Moon Over Germany is a massive price at 28/1

I'll probably still lump on Aramon though at 7/1

O'Callaghan must be very sweet on Steel Bull, sending him over and backing him off the boards.

Same as on debut. Think he opened at 4s last night !

Everyone has got excited about the class horses in this race. All Except the classiest. Petit Mouchir was easily the best of these this year, and probably better than ever. His style is perfect here and he is hugely consistent.

Would have agreed Aidan until his last race, very poor.
Seems not to like winning anymore
    I don't generally bet ew
    Aramax and Felix for me

oops probably should have seen that before thinking PM was a certainty to be in the 5.

You could be right, but last couple of years he is better after 1 run. I just figure it may be hard to find enough horses to get past him when he is in front around here.

If the ground is very soft now though, confidence in him being involved would be gone down a fair bet.

I fancy Aramax to land the spoils for Elliot

PM's form with Honeysuckle is far and away the best form in the book and I may be wrong but wasn't it soft, winter soft, that day??

I still can't have him but for students of form, that has to be the strongest in the book

Moon over Germany E/W for me. Soft ground will help him.

Would Rachael Blackmore not have had choice of HDB horses today?
    She's on Due Reward
    Is there anything in that?

I was thinking the same thing. Finished 2nd in this last year but 5lbs higher now. The other two are well exposed horses so its worth a shot for her I guess.

    Non Runner now anyway

One good thing about racing this week is they separated Goodwood and Galway.
You can watch all of Goodwood on TV first, then watch all of Galway.

I see Peter Carberry has his first ride in three years in the 7:45 - wonder will he be rusty much :)

We'll go for one for horse in this at a huge price. Hearts are Trumps has a very good record, both around here and generally in this type of race. He is down 3 pounds and you'd think he'd be ready for today.

Agreed . Aramax should have won easily given he was first and fifth for most of the race.

You wouldnt want to be listening to patrick mullins, never heard a jockey as unenthusiastic about a horse beforehand that hoses Up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭STB.

    Great run by Petit Mouchoir.

He certainly wasn't unenthusiastic with the whip. Do you think he hit the winner enough from the last ? The head on looks awful.

6 strikes from the last to the line.
Is that excessive ? Whats the guidelines?

Winner won well, 3rd. Went odds on in running.

Western Boy 5.45 is surely overpriced at 25s. Hacked up on the flat last week after 484 days off the track and is in here off 115.

5:35 Wolverhampton - Pushkin Museum given no run whatsoever just a few weeks ago over course and distance from Adam Kirby. Horse dropped 3lb from that run with a further 3lb off thanks to the claim. I missed the 20/1, but 11/1 still seems value to me, expect it to go off a good bit lower than that.
