Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No strong winds forecast for Dublin. It will be gusty but nothing different from a typical March windy day.

Your idea of typical March windy day is rather impressive :D

The North West and North will see severe gusts but Dublin won't. Gale gusts at most surely?

Winds strong here on the hill in North Cork. More so than usual, but sunny intervals too. Doors and windows creaking..
Christmas tree gone to vertical to horizontal..

Not severe but more than a typical windy day in March in my opinion but that is a matter of opinion I guess.

I'm finding it very windy at the minute in Dublin. Strongest I've been in for a while (certainly day time). Gates and fences aren't lasting very long. Bins have decided to take flight in some form of skating exercise along the road. If it's not meant to got properly until later, shall be am interesting few hours!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We know use our old christmas tree as a wind vane. Up-calm, half down - windy, having a nap - gareth.

Fairly blustery here in south Donegal. Seas are up. Tried to photo the trawlers in the bay but my my phone is old and ropey! Will try to attach here. There are three in this photo but hard to see them. In real life it was quite something to see the bows rise and fall so much.

Gusts at Malin Head and Mace Head to 60 knots (111 km/hr)

That's interesting - Mace Head is not even included in the Orange level zone, but I have noticed that the wind is really severe here at the moment. I checked the stats for Belmullet, which I would have expected to be much higher, but strangely enough, it is not as high as Mace Head. I read in a post here that it is expected to peak at Malin at around 20.00 hrs or so - is it expected to ease off earlier further south, say Mace Head, or is it later in the night?

Pretty bad here in N. Donegal can’t imagine what it will be like at its worst this evening between 7&10pm is it? Thankfully we are all indoors now with the fire on. Electricity still on so far.

Real car doors benders in East Galway, nothing too severe though, maybe because there are long periods of time between the really big gusts.

Ground is very wet from recent heavy rain, may explain the tree down Km79.
