Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone in Firhouse? Had what looked like a mini tornado just pass over, very heavy rain then whilrling winds, roof tiles rattle and then it passes just as quick. Very scary! Anyone else see it?

Not surprising given the intensity of the front passing through.

    Sweet. Jesus. Christ.

Myself and Dad were coming back from Dublin and the wind was dragging the car back and over on the motorway. The rain came down so hard, all visibility was lost and we had to pull in from the motorway. Dad said that in his 30 odd years of driving, not once has he had to pull in coz of the weather.

It's clear in Tuam now though.

I'll need to get a weather station for accurate readings, but weatherbug said it was down to 5 degrees and a chill factor of 0 in Navan last night.

felt it too, had the fire on for the first time this year and that's with our new, extra thick insulation fitted too. :(

Where did all that rain go, I think we only got a brief blast of it.

Anyway today is very bright and sunny, some wind though not a cold one really.

Very mixed day here, periods of warm sunshine with very little wind followed suddenly by brief torrential rain & hail and strong gusts, about a 3C drop every time a shower passes by.

Your air pressure reading seems awfully high Mayo Mick. Assuming you are in Mayo by your nick, Claremorris reported 1006.0 mb around the time of your report:
