Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lots of flooding here as well, nearly every river and lake I passed between Dungloe and Doochary was overflowing and lots of standing water everywhere. Rain has actually stopped now but still that low cloud and mist everywhere, constant since Friday night

It's depressing. You can't go anywhere without getting soaked!

Had a look at the RTE forecast at lunch and it's showing another dirty warm front over the centre of the country tomorrow. So, another day of this crap. I'm calling it mizzle - miserable mist and drizzle:mad:

It's not that bad, just put on some wet gear.
It's not the heavy rain that soaks you in a few minutes. I'm enjoying it as it is so warm!

Its not depressing. Its interesting weather. I like going for a walk in weather like this, place looks moody. Wear the right gear though. We are blessed with variation.

Give me ice and snow over this crap any day!

Yep, 5 minutes after I posted above it came right back again, alternating between misty drizzle and heavy rain all evening. We've had probably a combined total of 6 hours without rain and mist since Friday, utterly depressing :(

Woke up to the 6th day of fog and drizzle. When will it end? It is truly depressing weather and seems to be the constant topic of conversation (more than usual) when you talk to someone. It really seems to have an effect on peoples morale.

The only upside,if you can call it that, is that it is not cold.

    Location: NW Clare.

    An absolute scorcher!!

    21.1C,

6th highest temp of year and one of those was 3rd Oct.
5th day to breach 20C this month more than June and Sep and just one less than July and 2 less than Aug. Never recorded 20C before in Oct in my 12 year record.

Was down at beach and with westerly keeping maritme air off shore I'd say it was 20C there as well

.......... and the only warm and sunny thread has been shut down and about half a dozen winter threads on the go - irony or what?
Here, 19.3c with long sunny spells, if July and August was like this it would have been a good summer!
M.E. 1400 report for Dublin Airport, rain shower and 17c ???
Are they taking the p*** or something- a rain shower on a day like this :pac:
    (nothing on radar of course)
