Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Really heavy hail showers overnight, my bed is right under a velux window so it kept waking me up every hour or so.

Is that snow report at Finner official? Early end to the forecast contest if it is!

It was very stormy last night. Electricty kept going off and on so I eventually unplugged laptop. No updates from Eskimocat Weather til I get home to plug it in again :D

There was hail reported locally, and heard a big clap of thunder this morning. Didn't see any lightning though :(

In Collooney, it has brightened up since earlier this morning, occasional showers but blue skies now.

Really feels like winter today, bitterly cold out with strong winds and a torrential downpour of rain and hail every half an hour or so.

I saw it on the met.ie report section. I think it was the midnight one. Havn't seen any confirmation of it though.

Noticably cool outside here in Swords. Wind is the first one of the upcoming season that bites through you.

Many of the measurements come from automated instruments with no human supervision. These are generally very reliable but, as with any system, human or automatic, errors can happen from time to time. During automatic operation, the "Weather" is estimated by an optical instrument. Classification of weather-type is significantly more difficult than measuring temperature or pressure and the result is occasionally incorrect. In particular, you may see a very occasional report of snow during periods of foggy weather.

Very gusty here since early afternoon, dry, but massive, really dark clouds passing me by on the way East, would love to have something to measure the wind ! On a grumpy note, it knocked my sky dish off track, and I don't have telly anymore :(

When leaving the house this morning i had a giggle at a garden chair that had fallen over in the wind last night... reminded me of the pic of the 'damage' caused by previous storms.. but got the smile wiped of my face when i turned around to see some felt from the roof of my garden shed lying on the ground

Anyway much calmer this morning... occasional showers of rain... lots of rainbows about. :)

The radar isn't showing anything but an awful day here, visibility barely 10m at times with a constant thick fog and frequent showers. Miserable I think is the best word to describe it

I'm not sure about last night but after three days of heavy drizzle with a few heavier showers mixed in there is bound to be some flooding, it is Galway after all! :D
