Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Big yoke (area of cloud) just out to the west of Ireland now.... https://en.sat24.com/en ....moving east. Looks like an area of rain? Checked ME forecast, and forecast is 'dry' this evening/overnight?

First noticeably cold evening of the year here in Dublin, right by the coast (for my perception at least). 7 degrees in the car, stepped outside the door and came back for a jacket.

Nice Sat Pic of Ireland from Nassa today.

Got up to 15.8C here near Tralee after getting down to a low of 2.3C overnight

Getting down quite low again tonight more inland away from Westerly coasts where cloud is going to fill in over night.

Lovely day. It was a bit weird, so cold for a while (relatively speaking) and yet by lunchtime it was pretty warm and time to de-layer :)

Really nice skyscapes this evening in Donegal with high cloud and fanned-out contrails being lit underneath by the sun. Best couple of days in a long time :)

    Absolutely fantastic spell of weather
Plenty of cycles and walks after work with the young lad which have usually stopped by this stage of the year
Not a fossil fuel burned in our house yet !

    Will help shorten the winter

Same here in Kerry , very overcast and so dark this morning but cleared up nicely to a bright sunny day, going around in short sleeves, cloud closed in again towards dusk and light rain/ drizzle now.

Got up to an impressive 17.2c and currently 12.2C

An altogether perfect autumn day.. complete with being dangerously dazzled by the lowshining sun as I drove today...

The ocean and mountains are a shining and a shimmering of breathtaking loveliness.. awesome weather

As we crossed back, a distinct sharpness in the air, breathing of frost.

Each day since Sunday has had their great moments and the past week in general bar Friday/Saturday has been bliss for the most part, Wednesday last week was special in particular.

Mostly clear skies again this evening in Dublin 13.

Wednesday was probably the best day since June 28 for me. September had nice days but none of them beat Wednesday. Today has been nice too, a bit cloudier than recent days but still some good sunshine.

Did anyone see a meteor/fireball in the sky at 11pm tonight? Saw a really bright streak travelling towards the south horizon that disappeared after about 2-3 seconds. Was very noticeable and bright but can't find any reports of it online!

If MT's current forecast happens exactly like it sounds, then this will easily be my favourite October that I can remember.

First frost of the year on cars and the grass here in cork city for me!

First significant frost of the season here, the lawns and garden is white, and more importantly the sun is shining
