What reports are these? I don't recall him ever producing any reports? If he never produced these reports, how do you know he was getting them?

Reports from data analyst Matt Braynard for one.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

braynard worked for the trump campaign. what was he basing his conclusions on given that NONE of them were true?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,424 ✭✭✭notobtuse

IMO I think all the reasons given had as much if not more credibility than the Russian collusion information the Democrats used to impeach Trump. So if you look at Democrats as your guide for standards, apparently the bar is pretty low on information needed to make them actionable.

the reasons had no credibility. all of them were batted away with actual facts and figures on the phone call. braynard is still a proponent of "the big lie". even after Trump was shown the correct figures he still insisted that extra votes for were found. he didn't care if the figures were credible, he just wanted to steal the election.

Thats all close are we are ever going to come to you accepting there in no basis.

You had to whataboutery to try to give yourself an excuse.

POTUS was using a report from a no name analyst rather than professionals, DOF, the FBI etc.

    And you believed him?

"Jewess" is only a slur depending on who is using the term and why. If someone means it as a term of offence toward a female Jew, then the context is very different to that of someone making a neutral or positive reference to the same person.

Many Jews use the term, even Jewish women when referring to themselves. In fact there have been books, articles and magazines written by Jews with the word "Jewess" in the title.

It only fell out of favour after those on the right began using it as a derogatory term as a way to specifically put Jewish women down. It was used in such a way by the Nazis as a means to dehumanise.

The OED says that it is "outdated" and can be "offensive" and while yes, it is an outdated term, its offence depends on the context with which it is used.

It's just another buzzword to use on stupid people and they'll lap it up.

    This Matt Braynard??

Matt Braynard is the executive director of Look Ahead America, which describes itself as “an America First nonprofit dedicated to standing up for patriotic Americans who have been forgotten by our government.”

And his "analysis" was complete and utter tripe, It fell apart under about 5 minutes of questioning.

At first, the hearing went smoothly for Braynard, who has the professional presentation of a data specialist. But then came state Rep. Bee Nguyen, a Democrat from Atlanta. It turns out she had been doing her own research. Citing an exhibit filed by Braynard that listed people who had voted but who supposedly had registered in Georgia and another state, she pointed out that several names were duplicated on the list. Then she said that she had looked up the first 10 names on the list and had found eight of these people listed in Georgia property records as residents. She reached one of them on the phone, she said, and he confirmed that he lived and voted only in Georgia. Nguyen said she verified this person’s voting record.

8 of the 1st 10 names in his list had voted perfectly and the link above shows how each and everyone of his conclusions were utterly false.

So , a debunked report from a conspiracy theory loon who thinks that the rioters on January 6th are "Tremendous people" , that's Trumps evidence???

At least he's kept himself busy since then , organising rallies supporting those "tremendous people".

Biden has declared he is running in 2024. So Trump knows whom he will be running against.

Matt Braynard? Is this former Donald Trump paid campaign staffer and organizer a reliable "data analyst" source? Any confirmation bias in reports?

Is this the same Matt Braynard that appeared on Steve Bannon’s podcast, Bannon’s War Room, claiming there was no January 6 insurrection, and claiming it was peaceful, and conveniently overlooked the injuries and deaths occurring during this multiple video recorded unlawful violent and forceable break-in to the US Capitol building, while the US Congress was doing their constitutional duty, as presided by Republican VP Mike Pence? And is this WAR ROOM host the same Steve Bannon, whom has been charged with contempt of Congress for refusing to testify under oath about January 6? The same Bannon that obviously has nothing to hide under oath? No confirmation bias in the contents of Bannon's War Room, Bannon yet another close former advisor to Donald Trump?

Person paid by Trump to tell Trump what he wants to hear tells Trump what he wants to hear.

I'm shocked his claims then didn't hold up in court. Shocked, I say!

Just watched that Mark Meadows episode again and its beyond belief. Meadows writes book saying one thing. Trump comes out and says Meadows is wrong. Meadows then says his own book is wrong to placate the Great Leader. Why are these people so afraid of this narcissistic liar? It's like a sad pantomime written for idiots.

Were these the same Trump BIG LIE claims that failed in over 60 court cases in multiple state, federal, and the US Supreme, where there were both Republican and Democrat appointed judges, and before a US Supreme stacked with Republican appointed judges, including three Trump appointments? And was Trump BIG LIE evidence missing during the adjudication of over these 60 court cases, as now claimed by today's Trump BIG LIE supporters, whom have conveniently ignored the multiple 2020 election audits in states Trump lost, including the recent Cyber Ninjas Arizona election audit paid for by the Republican controlled state Arizona senate, where nothing was found by the Ninjas that would support the overturn of the state election results per their report? Confirming the same fair election results reported by Trump's (Republican) US Attorney General William Barr, after an investigation of the evidence after the 2020 election by the US Department of Justice.

Yet Trump, and his adoring supporters, continues to conveniently ignore these overwhelming court, multiple state audit results, and the investigation of the US Department of Justice in his (undeclared) 2024 presidential campaign BIG LIE platform?

He was always going to say that tbf. Its a ballsy bet that both he and Trump will be about in a few years, both are very old and while Trump is a little younger, he has never treated his body like a temple.

Biden is 9/4 or with the bookies to win the dem nomination so its far from a done deal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,438 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Haha. I know theres been some unreal posts around Donald trump over the past few years, but saying he never treated his body as a temple is an understatement. Biden may be older but he’s clearly in better physical shape then trump.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,005 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Oh yeah I didn't want to sound mean as I ate an absolutely rotten takeaway earlier 😶

Crap jokes aside, supposedly Trump has got himself in slightly better shape these days which is a sensible idea, although obviously it's a little late in the day to fix a terrible lifelong diet.

Biden is in good shape for a 78 year old, but nonetheless he is near 80 and doing an incredibly stressful job. I think he'd be delighted to hand it over to Harris if he had any faith in her regarding 2024 but there isn't much to suggest she would beat a Trump/De Santis/Hailey etc.

Absurd that these 2 dudes who will be pushing 80 are betting favs to represent their respective parties in 2024 though.

by the next election Biden will be 82... leaving office if successful he’ll be 86.... he’s looking very much the erm ‘elder statesman’....

Trump will be 77... leaving if successful he’ll be 81...

Biden’s stock is slightly falling... mainly to do with the economy and inflation. Also the millions of jobs lost..ok Covid was the reason but the gun will be pointed at Joe...

it is sure to play directly into the hands of Trump and his supporters..Trump a business guy...

if there is an election tomorrow I think It’s touch and go...His approval rating last month was 42%... that said, Donald’s rating 4 years ago was 37% so you never know...

It makes no difference to these people. Trump is right, and everyone else is wrong. It's the 21st century version of Jim Jones or Adolf Hitler.

When Trump runs in 2024, the Republicans in control today of many state legislatures will have redistricted enough state areas to increase the likelihood of a small majority in the 2022 US House elections, consistent with their passage of voting restriction laws on mail-in ballots, reducing the number of ballot boxes in urban areas, reducing voting days and hours open, reducing cut off dates for counting votes, and will probably have the Trump Brown Shirts out near voting stations with assault rifles and hand guns displayed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,245 ✭✭✭PropJoe10

I think he'll win in 2024, for exactly the reasons you just mentioned. That'll then be the end of the US as a functioning democracy. He'll spend the 4 years purging the legislature of anyone that isn't part of his flock and settling scores - he'll then probably just either appoint a successor, or else stay on himself until he dies.

America has over 330 million citizens. Why cannot they elect a president that has a lesser risk of health problems?

As to presidential performance polls, Biden has not completed his first year in office out of 4. He has at least one more year before the Dems lose control of the House and Senate after the 2022 elections (historically this tends to happen to sitting presidents during mid-terms). Passage of the recent trillion plus dollar hard infrastructure bill and its recent signing by Biden should gradually build construction and technology job numbers, significantly reduce unemployment, increase spending by more employed workers, reduce citizen debt and housing foreclosures, and noticeably improve roads, bridges, WWW, etc. Presidential poll percentages should improve at the same time, no matter what Republican adverse marketing campaigns dream up about Biden's age, health, or CRT nonsense in schools. At the same time the supply management issues with cargo ships sitting off US ports, container carrying equipment shortages, and trucker shortages should be mitigated. Increased supply affecting the supply-and-demand model should reduce costs to the consumer, as well as the cost of living.

Additionally, Trump's stacking/stuffing of the US Supreme Court with Republican justices, having appointed 3, to where they are now in the clear majority, will result in the overturning of Roe v Wade before 2024. The majority of women in today's America have approved of Roe v Wade, and with its protections removed by the court should get them out in great numbers voting against Trump in 2024. Biden will champion those protections in 2024, and Trump cannot pretend to be in favor of women's rights after stuffing the court, no matter how many times he sends Ivanka out to campaign otherwise. If Trump is smart, he will have a female VP running mate like Biden in hopes of drawing some Republican women.

My guess. In 2024 Biden's performance polls will average roughly 51 percent. Much higher than Trump.

I see Trumps social media project has apparently secured 1 billion in funding. Getting closer to having his own far right and "alternative facts" mouth-piece, here's hoping the usual fanatics are too apathic and lazy to switch.
