Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. But she doesn't have any acting talent. Or charisma.

While generally she has yet to show any discernible talent the same was said of Pattinson and he is quickly turning into one of the most interesting actors out there.

When has that ever stopped anyone from making a career in Hollywood? ;)
I'm guessing her agent knows her careers running out of steam and figures the Marvel gravy trains a good one to board!

yup I guess she is eying up the security of a multi-film contract there.

Shame The Vision's been cast. She'd have the range for the role.

The hammer has more acting talent than she does.

It's bad enough that your one from Revenge got into the MCU.
If KS were given any kind of leading role I would think twice about bothering with the film, her "performances" bother me that much.

Amirite Meme, she only appeared in a few comics. Very sarcastic character.

Don't think she has the chops to handle that role.

Any future Hulk outings planned (outside of the Avengers sequels)? I'm guessing not after the so-so success of the Norton one.

That would be great- I thought Mark Ruffalo was brilliant in Avengers Assemble.

Let him be a team member for a while then do a Planet Hulk on it

Just get Andy Serkis to performance capture her role.

Only problem with that is Mark Ruffalo is already 47 so he'll probably be into his 50's before he gets his own Hulk movie. Have there been any Hulks over the 50 mark?

Don't think his age is an issue since the human part of the Hulk isn't a particularly physical role.

    Not MCU but still Marvel.

FOX Is Planning an X-Men Television Show.

David Tennant joins the cast of Netflix's Jessica Jones.
Marvel and Netflix are proud to announce that David Tennant will star as the villainous Kilgrave in "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones," an all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015 following "Marvel's Daredevil."

Sorry for my ignorance but do we know if these new Marvel shows will be in anyway linked to each other? ie will "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones" be linked to "AOS" or anything?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,835 ✭✭✭✭cloud493

Well it'll all be set in the same universe, I can't imagine cameos are out of the question. Or even crossovers.

Didn't this happen in the 90's with Mutant X?:pac:

I always thought there was good potential in a Buffy-esque style series based on students in the school along the lines of the new mutants, Gen X, or New X-men series'. Although the Madrox X-Factor show would be another good idea, the first few years of it as a group of PI's are some really good stories.

They'll all exist within the same universe as far as I know. But, with AOS being on ABC and Jessica Jones being on Netflix for example, chances are there'll be little to no crossover, likely just throwaway references or sly nods.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,976 ✭✭✭✭humanji

Yeah, I'd say there's a possibility of Coulson appearing in the new shows, as he's a character from the movies. But since they've decided to keep him out of the new movies (because not everyone watches the tv show) they probably won't even bother with that.

My guess will be that Age of Ultron will introduce a load of small characters that will be free to cross over into any other show and not interfere will the film plots.

Coulson will probably appear in the newer films again though. Considering how much the show is tied to the film universe it is a bit silly that they all still think that he is dead.

Netflix have a huge deal with Disney.

Disney own ABC and it was Disney who went to Netflix to make these shows.

So crossovers ( Cameos )are very likely as Disney will let there contracted staff crossover would be the way I see it.

Nice, only way they could have done it really. Hopefully Sony will actually listen to Feign in regards to their *sigh* re-reboot.

I think it's a real shame that Garfield is gone but truth be told he's probably happy to be free of Sony. His enthusiasm seemed to have been killed whole promoting TASM2,

Opening days for a number of films has now changed.

To accommodate for the movie, Disney - which owns Marvel Studios - has rescheduled some of its Marvel titles, including Thor: Ragnorak from July 28, 2017 to November 3, 2017 and Black Panther from November 3, 2017 to July 6, 2018.

Inhumans has also been shifted to summer 2019 and Captain Marvel moves to November 2018.

    Meh.

Not a fan of Spiderman and certainly not the committee designed cash-in with Garfield.

I don't think an already bloated universe needed another big character.

He is exceptionally prominent in the Civil War books though

Depends on how far they are in but he could do more than just cameo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

I remember Marvel running an ad in all their comics about 15 years ago hailing Sony for rescuing the character from developmental hell. :D

All they need now is Jackman to round out their superstar Avengers line up.

I think it was already confirmed his first appearance will be in Civil War and will then get his own standalone film. Must look that up to confirm but I like the idea of a new actor and an already/semi established role. If I have to watch Uncle Ben die once more

First appearance in the MCU might be a bit much to throw around Iron Spidey though.

    Edit:
The two companies said late Monday that Spider-Man will appear in an upcoming Disney-produced Marvel super-heroes movie; that movie is 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War,” according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

    Sinister Six film 'delayed'

I don't think they've said which Marvel film will be his first one. Hope it's not Civil War tbh. That film will have a lot going on and like you said, be a bit much to throw in Iron Spidey. Would rather see Black Panther fulfill that role as originally planned.

Cameo should be Spider-man identity reveal from the Civil War storyline....the following Spider-man film should be the One more day storyline. :pac:

He mighn't even be that bad as part of an ensemble or in a film that's better formulated. He does get on my tits a bit though.

They managed to pull off Stark being a smug dickhead and also likeable.

I liked Spider man growing up as a kid, there was something about the character and the hero that appealed to me (probably Parker's relative youth compared with other, older heroes I guess), but the cinema treatments have really sucked the joy out of it all - the Andrew Garfield versions in particular, a pair of films utterly devoid of worth on any scale.

The prospect of yet another reboot feels singularly unappealing; I loved Guardians of the Galaxy partly because it felt like a separate story, divorced from the main Marvel cinematic universe and with the room to grow its own mythology; I know it wasn't, what with Thanos n' all, but that independence gave the film some freshness and vitality that the 'standard' MCU films just don't have at this rate. It's too fecking crowded already, the presence of Spider Man won't help this feeling.

I feel like the only comic geek who thinks a shared universe is a bad idea, and not one worth getting tizzy about.

I don't mind him being in the MCU. Just don't want the X-Men there.
Never felt that the X-Men universe meshed with the wider Marvel.

Why, with super-powered beings popping up all over, were mutants hunted/hated, experimented on or had sentinels developed for?
