24 x 330ml Glass bottles of Lucozade Original for €10!

These have crown caps, like beer bottles, not the regular twist off you might expect. They are more than likely lucozade produced for the bar trade which is not selling well for obvious reasons so going to supermarkets, like how Aldi were selling 355ml bottles of heineken which is pub size.

Not Tesco but hopefully will get Tesco to do a better deal.

Loads of Pringles full size tins €1.60 each in Dunnes

    Tesco still 3 for €5

Used to do 5 for 5 the first week in December. No better than 3 for 5 this year.

€1.60 each is 3 for €4.80 so hopefully Tesco will reduce their price or perhaps increase the offer to 4 for €5 we shall see in the next couple of days.

It's very doubtful if the 5 for €5 will return on Pringles.

But the prices for 1 of them is just plain ridiculous making the 3 for €10 looking less like any value.

Spotted two 5 for €5 deals in Tesco Tullow this lunchtime:

Tayto Bistro selection (3 varieties) and/or Tayto Chickatees (??)
    and
Nestle - eg Nestle Crunch, Smarties Sharing Block (choccie with Smarties in it), KitKat - 9 x 2 finger bars in Milk or Dark chocolate, and some other Nestle stuff. On the same stand and offer were some dilutable orange type bottles, probably Nestle.

Incidentally they had lots of the 600gram Victoria selection (2 for €5) and similarly McVities Family Circle.

Everything seemed to be gone before Christmas, nothing left to reduce, usually they'd have Christmas cakes, puddings, selection boxes reduced afterwards but nothing this year. I'd actually buy another pudding, will check in Aldi tomorrow.

Was in Cabra on the 26th, Cakes, puddings, pies all those were well reduced, half or less, not much left. Fresh Turkeys half price, very few. Say most is gone now.

Similar price slashing on sweets by Tesco last year - I remember RTE ran an article where Ministers were criticizing supermarkets over the low sweet/chocolate prices for the New Year and how it was sending the wrong message.

Just a heads-up - On the same end of aisle shelf they have the "much healthier" covered rice cakes but the nutritional information on these can be eye watering, not that different to the chocolate bars. Here's an example - https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=257538811

Very easy to mill through an entire pack of these thinking they are a health food.

Yeah I've noticed my family members eating through selection boxes etc and they have developed bellies.

    Cadburys quality had deteriated.

Anyone recommend a good quality chocolate. Is tesco own brand of quality chocolate any good?

Yeah my Tesco online order arrived yesterday...

    - Nakd Apple Danish & Cocoa Twist flavours were both out of stock so were missing from my delivered order.

    - All three packets of Nakd Banana Bread flavour were best before at-least May so that's alright.

    - Nakd Berry Bliss flavour were best before 12/11/20 last year so I'll be complaining to Tesco about that:eek:
