Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have Internet radio and Tune In etc but I always come back to Creedon in the evening, Late Date when going to bed, Rising Time if I am driving early in the morning and I'll also dip in and out of Ronan Collins at noon. It is fashionable to complain about RTE but they play some great music in fairness (and I am not linked!). Their documentaries aren't bad either!

Fiachna o Broaonain ,really started to overdo the gaeilge / tog go bog e , obscure irish trad in the last few days of his tenure , welcome back John next week , if I want to listen to radio na GAeltachta , I'll turn it on Fiachna!

Good stuff tonight from Creedo, and not just because he kicked off with Ian Hunter and Mott The Hoople :D

Rare footage of John Creedon's good friend Terence on The Late Late Show.

His two backing singers let him down, I think.

And here he is in his Agony Uncle slot on Gerry's show. Remember, we're all God's Children :)

One of the best shows in a long time so far :)

Sultans Of Ping, two from Level 42 :O

And Nina Simone's cover of Bob Dylan's 'Just Like A Woman' - sublime.

I listened to the "Listen Back" this morning - feet up in front of the cooker and looking out at the white hills - classic pleasure!

It's called "Oh Yeah" (On The Radio) - although I don't think oh yeah appears in the lyrics. :)

    Thank you!
It's awesome with either title, we should hear more Roxy on the radio I think.

Listening to the John Creedon show for the 1st time. God, it's excellent. What an eclectic mix. He's got a lovely presenting style as well. Gone into my Tunein favourites.

Creedo might have unwittingly invited more wind up text requests there!

Perhaps Mike Hunt will ask for a request next week.

I'd think most people would agree she has an amazing voice.

But most people would also agree she's a pain in the hole.

Saint Patrick's days night show was a triumph for John....

Lots of great sounds and none of the "paddy whackery".....

    Fair play John :)

Is it just me, or does Nigel Mooney sound like Nina Simone? :D

Ah, 'Free As A Bird' by The Beatles!

    Good call :)

Listening back to the show after a very long day in work. Ah, but we can be cynical about RTE and public service broadcasting. The JC show is an utter joy though.

My broadband is playing up tonight, I keep having to disconnect/reconnect; it's frustrating to be missing so much good music... :(

(edit: fingers crossed, it seems to be working again! :) )

Are you in Ireland at the moment, my friend?

Can't you listen on of those wireless thingies? Crusty ole long wave 252 :D

Very underrated band, The Frank And Walters - their new material is just as good as their early 90's peak :)
