Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Small kindnesses. A friend just bought me a kit Kat. No reason, he just wanted to treat me.

Waking up in my own bed after a hectic but fantastic week of travel and work and snatching time with the family.

There's nothing like your own bed. :)

An early stroll through a beautiful dry crisp frost. The air is fresh and clean. Lungs full and a smile is inevitable.

Back from a couple of hours fishing. Not a fish in sight but happy as the proverbial Larry with a morning spent among Kingfishers, Cormorant, Dippers, Ducks and a Fox. We often go expecting happiness in one direction only to stumble on it elsewhere.

Spent the week-end freeing up a c 1900 neglected old bicycle which hadn't seen the light of day since the 1920s until I found it Friday last.
Two new tubes and it'll 'live' again this evening.

    Happiness!

I very rarely, if ever, sign petitions but it's great to see when you do sign one and it has a positive impact.
The last petition I signed was to have this "zoo" closed down, close to 500 animals have died there over 5 years. It's actually shameful what went on there.
Councillors are currently discussing not renewing their licence and the crackdown is coming for them. Inspectors have already recommended they be shut down.

When I'm walking by a dog/baby and it looks at me and slightly tilts its head.

Happy for the rest of the day.

Sounds so good. I love mornings like that! What was the intended catch? I've to wait on this weather to settle the sea before I venture out.

The look of sheer delight and happiness on my wife's face when I show her the first buds forming on the raspberry plants we sowed last year.

The delight of my dogs charging me to welcome me home from work.

My bed is like a cloud. You literally drift away on it into slumberland. It's like you're miles above the world and nothing can touch you.

When you live in a houseshare, it's a little luxury having the flat to yourself of an evening. That happened yesterday. It was so blissful!

You know when you cut into a freshly assembled toasted sausage sambo and the steam rises with that incredible sausagey scent. That moment makes me happy.

The sun and that 90 minutes of football in the Nou Camp has done it for me.

Woke up nice and early and fresh. The rest of the family woke up as well, we all got ready without fuss.
Managed to leave the house a little earlier than normal, got into work earlier as I managed to beat alot of the traffic.
No emergencies in work to deal with, I managed to get in, sit down at my desk and start up the machine without anyone asking me work questions.
The sun is shining in the window beside me.
    Listening to a lovely podcast.

I could get used to this.

Been sitting out at the back on a big rock by the stream in warm, gentle sun.. robin singing.. dog digging..... closing eyes in the warmth and dry.. .. set some seeds even in trays.... broad beans and trailing nasturtiums...
