Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Zaytoon (Dublin), Al Kebabish or King Kebab (Athlone). Infinitely better. Anywhere what serves Kebabs in pita bread should be shut down and the owners deported.

I don't dirty myself by going to Athlone and iv'e never heard of the other one so it must not be that good. :p

not much for kebabs. i go to Charcoal grill for the burgers. superb :D

'Tisn't. Also, it's not the lyrics that caused the rumour (Well, not most of them), which would be a more believable rumour. It was that "squinting" like Japanese person is the same face you make when you are about to ejaculate.. :D

    Daftest rumour i ever heard.

A few years back there were shootings in Mumbai, all over the news
And I hear about Mumbai now and again, mainly something to do with businesss stories

Never put any thought about where in India it was

Then I learn it's the new name for Bombay, when did that happen?

I went to school in the nineties, we always said Bombay

    Feeling old :(

    Yes there is!
However, there is no minced meat in them aka no meat.

Minced meat is what you get when you start with meat and you mince it.
Mince meat/mincemeat is the stuff in the mince pies.

There originally was meat in mince pies.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mince_pie

Adding heavy sugars (honey) and dried fruit disguised the poor almost rotten taste of meat kept without refrigeration.

Until a couple of years ago, I always thought that battered sausages were sausages that had been ... well, battered ... as in, hammered flat with one of those little mallet yokes that chefs use. :o

In my defence, I'd never tried one (still haven't!), and had never seen one. I guess I assumed that 'battering' them with a hammer improved the taste ... somehow ...

You don't need to type www. before many well known websites. Boards is one

I spent years and years typing www. every time

Only copped on this year and was treated like a fool by someone I told

If only people on tv and radio would realise you don't have to say "www" while reading out a web address. Just saying "boards.ie" is fine, people know what it is. It's happening less, but still a lot.
