Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's on BBC2 Channel 109 on Virgin, but not 140 which is the HD version of BBC2.

Ah ok, explains why I wasn't seeing it, I only watch the HD channels.

    Not correct.

It was more abouts what's on each channel.
I've no idea what virgin offer.

Ah right, sorry. My telly isn't HD anyway so I only ever watch the one in the normal place on the EPG.

They've ackowledged the existence of the Joe on RTE, wonders will never cease.

Just spotted this when looking up venues earlier. Does that mean GAA.ie are streaming the game live?

RTE are only showing one football game before the provincial finals.

Whatever about hurling being more entertaining than football, and being worth more money, the current deal should never have stood after the two championships we're restructured.

I hope there wasn’t any state secret on that page that went flying a few minutes ago. Could RTÉ not shell out for a commentary position with a screen.

heaps of games televised this weekend

    On Saturday
    Joe McDonagh Cup
Antrim v Westmeath 2pm on GAANOW
Kerry v Laois 3pm on GAANOW

Ulster GAA Football Senior Championship- Semi-Final
Tyrone v Donegal 5pm on RTE | BBC

    Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship
Cork v Waterford 7pm on Sky Sports

    On Sunday
    Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Championship
Kilkenny v Galway 2pm on RTE
    Munster GAA Hurling Senior Championship
Limerick v Clare 4pm on RTE
Ulster GAA Football Senior Championship - Semi-Final Replay
Armagh v Cavan at 7pm (delayed) on BBC 2

The GAANOW service/ portal or whatever you'd call it is actually not all that bad.
Seems to have highlights of every game from last weekend, although they only show scores and not important incidents i.e. players getting black/ red cards (or yellows leading to reds) which change the course of a game.

Would anyone know a decent pub in Dublin city centre that will be showing the Cork v Waterford game saturday evening with sound and a big screen?

Its part of the GAA.ie website. Great to be able to see McDonagh coverage, the Offaly v Antrim game last week was great stuff

Sorry, can't help you with that, my expertise only stretches to getting it on the laptop and connecting it to the TV via a scart lead

Cheers, haven't used a laptop in years. Would be handy if they just streamed it on YouTube.

Might work if you just cast the phone (if it's Android) to the TV and going fullscreen.

It's actually painful listening to Joe Brolly and Colm O'Rourke on RTE and I feel bad for Joanna Cantwell having to manage them. Especially when she's actually calling out the nonsense and making some great points, a role she shouldn't have to take on.

Guess I'll watch something else until the BBC's coverage starts and watch it on that instead.

Tyrone versus Donegal is live on RTÉ 2 and BBC Two. Highlights of both games on The Sunday Game on RTÉ2 at 9.30pm.

Never minded Brolly too much but he's ramped it up a notch this year. He's just a very rude man.

With how important and big this game is they spent five minutes getting very heated and hot under the collar over..... "who is the best player in the last few years" I mean ffs who cares. That's not a 8pm after two pints talk in a pub that's a 3am 10 double vodka and red bull talk. No one cares. It's not important in the general scheme of things. Even from a Galway poster his love in with Corofin is embarrassing. It's all bluster with very little actual analysis. I would have no qualms if they were both removed in the morning.

Watched on BBC, good solid analysis from McConville and Martin Clarke, without any of the juvenile theatrics we get from Brolly and co

Does anyone know what hurling matches are being shown on Saturday. Per the original fixture notifications there were two games identified for the final round of Leinster hurling matches. Per Sky the Wexford v Kilkenny match is being broadcast. Any ideas if the Dublin v Galway match is being shown?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,909 ✭✭✭Coillte_Bhoy

Im guessing Monaghan V Armagh will be the live game from Rd 2 of the qualifiers? From what i can see, only one live game per round, is that correct?

Just the KK/Wex game is being shown. They obviously weren't going to commit to either game at the start of the Round Robin, that's why they listed both games

I've read both games are being shown on SKY simultaneously whilst the Clare/Cork match isnt being broadcast the following day.

    I'm answering my own query!

Per the Sky Sports website- Wexford's meeting with Kilkenny in the Leinster GAA Hurling Championship will be shown live on Sky Sports Arena on Saturday.

The Tribesmen face Dublin in Parnell Park at the same time, and we will be providing updates from the Donnycarney venue as the Leinster Championship round-robin reaches its conclusion.

I heard himself and Cyril were moved on by Joanne Cantwell. Not many people would walk away from a handy 20k odd a year talking hurling.

I just refuse to watch Brolly anymore. It's an absolute joke.
Actually, the more I think about it, I really can't ever recall any of these so called "experts" or analysts saying something completely mind blowing or even in any way informative.
To be honest, anyone watching GAA games as long as I am, can form their own opinions on a game.

If going for the tie of round on paper it should be Armagh v Monaghan. I think SKY will go with the Mayo v Down game though.

Looking at the GAA coverage list RTE are only scheduled to show a round 4 qualifier live. Sky Sports are down for 1 round 2 game and 2 round 3 games
