Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nothing audible on the Southside - 91.6 suffering interferance from BBC R3 this evening

    Heard on 92.1 GD Radio

Strong signal on southside - dance music - nice audio

RDS on 87.6 now reads MINISTRY

    Nothing on 91.0.......

Both Tonic & NRG seem to be suffering audio issues with intermittent breaks in audio

Fine yesterday - not much you can do when theres lift conditions (i know thats not the technical term!) - in the past the legal Phoneix have been wiped out by BBC4 and 88.1 is notorious re BBC Radio 2.

    Sounding good as well.

apparently it will be going off air so work can be carried out so i'm sure it will be sorted, as for the breakaway add, somebody forgot to put in the licence key i'd imagine, agree that its great to have it back, hopefully it will be online soon

ministry back on 92.1 space back on 99.5

Space have a good signal but the audio was over modulating when I was listening circa 5pm - weak signal on 87.6 Polskie has been off air so not to sure who it is.

Wonder will there be any special broadcasts next weekend - 30 years since the raids - 10 years since 'black Tuesday'

Space Fm are on 99.5 in Dublin good signal, seem to be playing 90s dance cd on repeat, audio loud, rds on and off, Tallaght Sound due back on that frequency soon.

8Radio not on 94.3? I'd imagine their listenership may be dented in Dublin if it was 93.4, their listeners would have to buy specialist receivers and directional aerials to block Kippure on 93.5 :)

8radio are on 94.3 at the weekends some great shows and very different music a few of the old phantom crew I think had a listen they come on at 24.00 on Fridays and broadcast all weekend .

Some Sporadic-E propagation happening on the FM band in recent mornings/ early afternoons with very distant (always happens this time of year/May) European signals audible

Yesterday morning (Sat) I heard jumbles of italian stations across any clear spots on the FM band.

On car radio had " MALVISI" showing on RDS name of a station (dance music) coming in strongly on 87.5 FM.
Googling it is a network in the north of Italy with multiple transmitters mainly using 87.5MHz

    http://www.malvisi.it/frequenze.asp

Then around 3PM, I tried the low end of FM on car radio again. I couldn't listen for long - Italians seemed to be gone but I had a fading in-and-out signal on 87.6 from Iceland - RDS name showing "RUV R2 "

Putting in Mavisi brings this up http://www.fmscan.org/net.php?pxf=Malvisi%20Network&itu=I&rg=#

30kW ! Anyone know what the main Dublin players are pushing from Three Rock. IE , Spin 1038, FM104, Q102, 98FM . Surely they are not pushing 30kW?

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 14,459 Mod ✭✭✭✭marno21

AFAIK the RTE stations are 12.5kW, Spin/Q102/104/98 are 5kW, Phantom, Sunshine, R n Life are 2kW, Newstalk is 10kW and Today FM (101.8) is 500W. I'm open to correction on those as there's different figures everywhere

NRG 88.1 (Dublin) - 'the home of house music' - has been off the air since earlier this morning (Tue 11th June), While Ministry 92.1 has been off the air since this afternoon.

The only stations receivable in SW Dublin tonight are Play 93.2 & Tonic 107.1

agree, nearly every station seems to be playing house music these days, i know i like house and its popular but we don't need a number of stations playing it, best of look to them anyway, both stations were having technical issues yesterday hense being off air

That would be the second time NRG have suffered damage at a site.

Yesterday (Wed) whilst parked in north-east Co. Cork on car radio tuned around just after 2 PM and was getting Polish due to E-skip.

87.5 MHz RDS was displaying name 'IOWA' and then 'JEDYNKA'

87.7 and 88.0 had same audio as 87.5 but not good enough signal for RDS

this page lists what I received - the 87.5MHz outlet, the 87.7 and lists two 88.0 transmitters
