id actually somewhat disagree here, theyve become blinded by their own ideologies, baring in mind, the political left have become blinded by the same ideologies

its down to 'looking after their own', that's business chums and not the public. That's my idea of right wing as it plays out. Based on every right wing party/government I've ever seen.

its important to remember the fundamentals of their ideologies, i.e. the rising tide , and the trickling down, and the this, and the that.... i.e. theyre not truly trying to fcuk people over, its their thinking and actions that is fcuking people over, but they truly beleive theyre right, and in reality, they partly are

I use to think like that and would often throw them a vote. Maybe it's Kenny some what but certainly Varadkar, that makes them come across spiteful and crony.
They exacerbated national crises, knowingly. We have to ask why?
Flanagan trying to normalise the Tans was the only sign of FG having an ideology of their own. That and their distain for the general public.

again, theyre not deliberately doing this, its hardwired into them, like lefties like myself are hardwired with other things. theyre completely obsessed with things such as balancing budgets, and deficits etc, all nonsense stuff really

No doubt some are ignorant, and if it wasn't staged it was a scumbaggery thing to do, but so many things don't add up.

Who was the skateboard holding girl supposed to be representing, and what was her aim (no point making a protest if no-one knows who or what your aim was) ?

No-one seemed to be too pushed on trying to apprehend her (that could have been anything in the container)

Does Leo conduct many interviews in the park?

Seen #staged was trending on Twitter shortly after the incident, and no doubt some of the theories were tinfoil hat crackpot theories, but equally some had merits, and the whole thing has me stumped tbh.

im not convinced of it being staged, i think everyone was just shocked to be honest, and failed to react, but of course i could be wrong

    Nope. FG arent right wing.

    1. Pro abortion
    2. Pro gay marriage
    3. Pro assisted suicide
    4. Record numbers non EU migrants given visas. Currently handing out visas to construction workers while thousand of Irish construction workers have lost their jobs.
    5. Have made it easier for non-nationals to become citizens compared to mainland European countries.
    6. Increasedpublic spending by 12 billion since 2016.
    7. Very pro Europe.
    8. Smashed businesses from the small to the very big with the harshest lockdown in Europe.

    They are new Labour mk2.

Tom Copley, Labour's housing spokesman in the capital, said that Margaret Thatcher's government had built more council flats and houses in a single year than New Labour's managed in its entire period in office.

This is correct. The official data shows that the Blair and Brown governments built 7,870 council houses (local authority tenure) over the course of 13 years. (If we don't include 2010 - the year when David Cameron became PM - this number drops to 6,510.) Mr Copley has contrasted this figure with the record of Mrs Thatcher's government, which never built fewer than 17,710 homes in a year.

FG'ers I know would be decent folk who want to be prudent and so forth. I find FG's actions don't marry well with their sales pitched persona. Its obvious their way doesn't work for everyone and they seem cool with that.

    That's not FG.

    Its:
    1. Our overlords in Brussels and their fiscal rules which we voted by 2:1 to accept

    2. The people we borrow from wont lend to us on the cheap unless we aim to balance the budget.

    oh ffs!

only last week i was watching an economic debate which included varadkar, in which he was criticising private sector businesses for not taking on more debt, and his obsession with the deficit, this is economic conservativism at its heart!

You will find that governments led by parties that claim to be social democrats have been doing the same all over Europe.

They are pushing all sorts of campaigns, "Solidarity with Nicaragua"

They have a book stall that they put out weather permitting and quarantine permitting.

They have books for sale on the stall.

Think we are moving beyond the age of rationalism. The entire of Europe exists in a giant credit bubble. There are no consequences for those at the top for any misfeasance and criminality and politics everywhere is becoming a reality show where charlatans like Trump and Boris will sell a cocktail of false hope and putrid nationalism to a gullible public, most of whom have never read a book and rely on twitter or the web for each passing "truth"

Just after happening this afternoon, can see this going viral. Apparently the girl is a People Before Profit activist.

Even other left wingers are calling this disgraceful.

Where People before Profit are concerned I'm not surprised at all, despicable stuff and I don't support this Government at all.

Well in fairness you could always read their side of the argument and see how you feel about it.

    Read a capitalist book too.

Id recommend hearing all alternatives before you make a decision. I wouldnt want to be banning books or peoples views or a thing like that.

Let the communists sell their books if they want.
