Just on elevation gain for the TT. I notice on Strava sometimes on a 400m track you might get - 3m per kilometre elevation, then the next kilometre might be 0m or +2m elevation gain. Last night I was doing kilometres over and back on the same strech and there was a few meter in the difference. Would that be my watch faulty or has anyone else noticed this?

It depends on the watch. I find mine which is barometric to be totally unreliable. Some watches use GPS plot points which while more accurate can be slightly off. For the TT as long as someone starts and finishes at pretty much the same point there's no problem.

I've only got access on the phone so I won't try update the table.

Excuses first; almost no running since January, hurt my knee trying to get back a few weeks ago, got fat, extremely lazy.

I've had two attempts at a mile, the Goal mile on the Tallaght track, Christmas day 2018 and 2019. Results of 7.00 and 6.41. Both largely time trials effectively. Definitely in better shape for both of them and not sure of route yet, so making a prediction is hard.

M37, prediction - injury, pain, hardship, regret and around 7.15.

Grateful if someone could add to the table. Thanks. Training starts today!

They are beyond strict!! The don't be a dick rule will be the main one. The elevation graph shows the route profile. Once the finishing point is at or near the same level as the start all is good

Great to see so much interest folks and even better to see some of the old crew reappearing.

Skyblue answered D already but Strava can be an a**hole for sure so just attach a pic of your garmin to the Strava.

The elevation thing, the main thing is don't take the piss. We'll forgive a metre here or there (I think?). I'll mostly dig into anomalous results that look too good based on the prediction.

Last thing, can you make sure you post in the strava group as to what your Boards username is so we can match up Strava times with names in the table here?
I see a lot more in the Strava group than in the table here. If you're not in the table here, your time doesn't matter or exist to me!

- can you run it on a track or pitch?

- do you have to be on this Strava yoke, I’m not very technical, I set up my online banking with the virtual help of some Nigerian Oil Minister
