Hasn't stopped raining all day here in Wexford, winds picking up now.

Judging by streams around here, I'd reckon Enniscorthy is going to be in trouble before too long. Lot of water heading that way.

strange earlier it mentioned stormy weather for galway and mayo with severe gusts up to 130 kmh, no mention of it now.

Met Eireann online,tv,radio forecasts all arseways as usual.

must be a false alarm, hopefully we get a good storm before the winter is over.

But the main thing is they got it right for The East ;-)

Time for drivers in Cork to get off the road. Reports of trees down already. Getting very windy here.

Moving rapidly towards nightdarkness here. Depths of winter.... near the shortest day.. rain sheeting in deluges and wind variable. I gather another very noisy night is ahead... Will hunker down imminently to catch some sleep.. Stay safe and dry out there..

    Oh the drama lol

    Hold on a minute

That has tobe the worst one we've had this year, absolutely blown out of it from the docklands to Connolly

No big fiasco in the media though

Wind getting very strong in Galway now

  • Registered Users Posts: 202 ✭✭CirrusBusiness

Some very strong gusts hitting here now in the last 20 minutes. The house has started creaking and it sounds like there is a twister outside the sitting room window! If that keeps up there will be trees down. Already a big bang out the back but waiting until morning to see what it was. Hopefully not a tree on the shed.
