Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damn I'm wondering should i have asked for a refund now!

Quality control must have gone to ****e since Lenovo took over, there was visible marks on the back of the case also.

My fathers G5S has been perfect though since i got it for him last year.

Had mine a year to the day also and not one issue bar dropping it and cracking the screen

I bought mine from the Warehouse, the screen developed a problem after a few months, it wouldn't work in certain areas, I don't know if it was my fault or not but I never dropped it or anything.

Pity the Brexit negotiations are going well. Was hoping Sterling would plummet before tomorrow.

    Sold and dispatched by Amazon.
Bought a phone but expected delivery is January 2019.
Tried cancelling but they said I can't now(money has been taken)
Was thinking if/when it arrives ,I just send it back unopened

If money has been taken the phone is dispatched. You'll have it in 3-5 days most likely.

That's usually the case with everything I've gotten off Amazon.
    Phone was ordered the 15/11/18
Ordered something else with it and that arrived Monday.
Got on to someone decent on chat this time and they send when it arrives just let them know and they,ll give me a prepaid postage label and return it to them.

    Oh i missed it!

How is this Hugo boss watch?

HUGO BOSS Men's Chronograph Quartz Watch with Leather Strap – 1513392 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01M0W5QBR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_O2W9BbB6SDG6K

And do you know if any other make is going to be on sale in the coming days?
    FatRat wrote: »
Was only for yesterday. There was 8 watches on sale, most for less than 100 quid. Bought 2! Both of them selling for around 250 each on Seiko website, was 170 total or so for both. Some of the watches they have are still very cheap on Amazon compared to most other reailers. Hugo boss watches are on sale today instead of Seiko it seems.

A decent chance a warehouse item will have a fault. Some of the issues that returned items have are intermittent or the guys checking them aren't thorough enough.

    For Prime members:

£10 off £30 on selected Pantry items
(ships to PM / PW only).

Picked up some pet food I buy all the time anyway - there was 20% additional off the pet food, then added 4 qualifying items for free delivery (usually £2.99).

What’s the deal with delivery when buying from the amazon.de site?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

you pay Irish vat rate and have to pay for delivery, everything else pretty much the same as .co.uk

True, I kept a close eye on it for a few days and it looked unused out of the box, got a few months out of it anyway and my money back. Got two at the time, other one still going strong.

It's free to the UK usually so I use parcel motel when buying off amazon.de

A 'decent chance' is exaggerating it definitely. Many/most warehouse items have nothing wrong with them and have some packaging damage, and/or some accessories missing, stand from tv etc.

Not really. Some deals are gone already, some new ones will be along tomorrow. Wont stop really until Monday.

Non-Amazon shops probably all start putting deals out tomorrow though.

Well the whole point is to make money so why not spread it out to a week?

Why risk it all on one day and have to deal with potential server down times, crashes, overloads, etc...

This is better for consumers too and you don't have to spend a huge amount in one day and you get more control on what is going on.

Unlikely, it's a niche product. Why not get the massdrop version for 160GBP available right away? (Although can be hit by customs)

This is better than the HD600. Have a pair I use everyday for music and gaming. Has got great reviews from audiophiles. Lots of bass for an open back. Very comfortable, can wear it for hours at a time and excellent build quality. Low impedence, so doesn't need a dedicated amp. Can be run easily off a PC or even a phone.

So XBox One S with one games is now £169. My daughter wants one for xmas. Is this a decent deal or should I wait until Monday? Never been into consoles so I'm not sure.

Massdrop is Sennheiser HD 650. They sound "darker" and many prefer more neutral 600 over them. I'm not a fan of the dark sound myself.

    Oh they're on my list!

Although, many have complained about their grainy treble. Can't comment myself.

Thanks. I'll have a look. The S is still a current good console right? It's one aspect of tech I never bothered keeping up with as I always preferred gaming on a PC.

These are £125 on Amazon Warehouse in "very good condition" with 20% promotion. That's very really great value if you get a good pair.

Bit worrying they have 4 pages of returns to the Amazon warehouse!

Was going to buy a phone for 529 gbp, am a prime member so free delivery, but would be anyway. But when I go to check out the price is 544. Change delivery address to my parcelmotel or a relatives I send things to in the uk and the price drops again.

I use amazon probably every week and never seen this before, product sold by amazon not a third party. Anyone experienced this and if so know how to fix it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,647 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

VAT rate is different, so address change reflects that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 772 ✭✭✭Dublinandy2

Yeah the chat guy explained that, shame he already told me they’d waive the extra before changing his mind. So just cancelled the order and will complain about him, not the vat.

    Cheers

Anyone know if the amazon fire tablets have google play on them or it has to be installed manually? I'm looking at the Fire HD 10 £109 without special offer. Anyone any experience with these, seems a decent deal to me.
