    Is this Preisner again?

    Wtf?

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,991 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Preissner seems to be on shows to act as "The voice of a generation".
    What age is she?
Is she really the Covid Generation? I would say that is more the 15-25 generation.

I'd nearly say my 7 yr old could be classed as part of the Covid Generation. His life is being affected so much by it, at a time when his development is so important.

I've heard him reject the intensive care capacity point twice before (here and on Claire Byrne) and he offered absolutely no counter argument/evidence/facts/figures to back it up...not even a follow up comment.

what level of dirt has this lady on the powers that be in RTE ?

a complete dimwit who is never off the air

Whenever she's on, every 4-5 weeks :pac:, Brendan goes to her for the reaction of her generation, he spells it out each time.

Does he treat any other guests as spokespeople for 'their' generation.

It's actually very patronising, you're only here because you are a spokesperson for the millennial generation. Aside from fact I'd guess she was born in the 80s....

She’s well within the “millennial” catchment.

For balance he should have some random 80yr old on too, to be the "voice of their generation".

Not sure I know any younger person that actually uses the millennial phrase to identify themselves. It just shows how out of touch she is.

All her friends work from home in tech companies, she hasn't a clue about anyone else.

Fair enough. Am a bit out of touch with the labels!

Not just tech companies - she prefers to call them conglomerates as it sounds more negative

79% of the workforce are female?

    Surely that can't be right.

Why did she say "mostly men".

Did I miss something at start of the show that Would have made that relevant?

She just put her feminist hat on again and is off on another rant

30 in ICU yesterday; 1,200 cases yesterday and still 30 in ICU today - new just said “a figure that has remained stable for a number of days”

Definitely not right. She might have meant female participation rate in the workforce which would make more sense, but would have to listen back.

    Yes.

2016 CSO puts 70 percent men working and 60 percent women..

This being percentages relevant to each sexes participation..

Jaysus Cahill is on with the usual staccato delivery ..... why is he stopping and starting.

Was there not a pitch invasion in Dungannon.

The man of the people ..... protecting the gigs.

Are you referring to Stefanie Preissner? It was Gabrielle Colleran who said that.

I thought Colleran was excellent today...lots of level headed facts and clear answers...apart from the weird "mostly men" comment.

Is it just me, or am I hearing a “poomph” whenever a contributor speaks a word starting with P or B or anything that gives rise to whatever we call a word (egressive, maybe).

Lord I’m becoming a sad old fella
