Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't suppose there's an early entry aspect to tickets??

North Wall Quay, Dublin. About 50m down from the Samuel Beckett Bridge.

Mrs. Flyer got me this for Fathers Day earlier this year. It's the version signed by Nick.

What is the Convention Centre like for gigs?

Sounds interesting, might get some tickets if they're not too overpriced.

Given their ridiculous fees, incompetent listings, terrible website and poor customer service, why would you even want to book through ticketmaster?

Just heard an ad for this on the radio and I was like Nick Masons Saucerful of Secrets, WTF?!

Whats the capacity for the convention centre and is there any standing space (I hate sitting for a gig). Is it likely to sell out?

absolutely likely to sell out... us Irish are event junkies and nick is a living legend.... and its also very likely to be a fully seated gig.

the capacity depends on where in the convention center.
id imagine it would in the auditorium which has about 2000 capacity.... though it could be in the forum on ground floor which has a 3000 capacity.

Still no visibility on ticket prices, where to buy etc?

Just "TBA" on the official website and "There are no upcoming events in Ireland" on Ticketbastard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,106 ✭✭✭eviltimeban

Had tickets for his show in Amsterdam last year but couldn't make it in the end. Looks like a good show, getting rave reviews.

He plays material from 1967 - 1972, so if you're looking for Wish You Were Here or material from the Wall, you won't get it. However, if it's Interstellar Overdrive, Fearless, Remember A Day, or Obscured By Clouds, this is the gig for you!

The olympia wud have been a way better venue for this, imo.

Still says "0 Upcoming Events. We're sorry, but we couldn’t find any events" but I guess they're still updating it. Just keen to see ticket prices.

olympia has a capacity of 1250 people, with a standing section.

vicar st has a capacity of 1050 seated.

Auditorium in the Convention center is the next best option after that with 2000 seated and is a nice looking venue too....

Bord Gais would have been equally as good, with 2100 seated, and a lovely venue....

why ticketmaster? because it's the only one, they manage 99% of the ticket in Ireland.

P.S. I have been to one of this shows, LOVE IT, if you are a truly Pink Floyd fan, you'll love!!

P.P.S. I'm going to buy for the convention center, I hope the acoustics will be good!! see you all there!!

Agree, probabily the Bord Gais was the best venue in Dublin for him!

Back of the stall the way to go for me so I can see the stage show. And see Nick!

Max 9 tickets per transaction. For fúcks sake.

Thats potentially 222 transactions for a sellout.

Ticketmaster has map showing the Auditorium as the venue.
    Going to sell fast.
Wonder is there a chance of a second date.

It's the first date of the tour, so, yes, why not, the day before!!
Anyway, I hope that the venue will be good!

Pricey at €86 but grabbed tickets. Last Floyd show I was at was Roger Waters gig in the Aviva, which was bloody fantastic. Roll on April. The Convention Centre could be really good for this

Four of us going, Stalls G. Happy enough with the price as it will probably be the last chance to see Nick live. Just hoping David doesn't play in the 3Arena on the same night :pac::pac::pac::pac:

^ :pac: .... I reckon there's no chance of that.

Sorted in Galway too, 82 Euros, a bit hefty but something to look forward to. I'm row A seat 44 hopefully that's reasonable viewing. :)

    Row BB as well.

I wonder if Roger will reciprocate as a guest, given Nick performed the Dark Side set back in the Marquee. Ok, I'm allowed a little dream :)

Lets hope the tour sells really poorly and as its the first night they'll bring Rodge out to boost sales.

Wouldn't be surprised if he added another Dublin date or perhaps a Belfast date too.

Got two in the circle row S booked. Searched a while later and got end of row in the circle central block row T so booked them. Submitted a request to cancel the first two and they've confirmed the first booking cancellation already. My "elderly father" will have better access to enjoy the gig now :pac:

This should be a good one. Never been to the Convention Centre for a gig or otherwise.

Can you imagine how quick they would sell out if Pink Floyd's name was attached to the headline tag.
