Welcome to the "Paying max tax and not even getting a V8" club killinator :p

    Lovely car

I'd take that VR6 with DSG over most V8s to be fair.

Enjoy lurking and learning here. Now this is not as fancy by half as some of the motors I see here, but here's my 14 year old, 270,000 miler. This car genuinely owes me nothing at this stage!

Yet another 323i again guys :)
    Delighted with it!

A few more pics now that I'm home with her.
Bought her off Lexus Ipswich and must say they were brilliant to deal with.

Sweet, sweet motor, looks the business in white. Can you let us know how you get on with the VRT if it is exactly what it estimates on the Revenue website that you end up paying.

    Will do!
    It says €3440 on website.
It's booked for Monday week so I'll post it up then.

Just a word on fuel consumption.
I done 300 miles and it took €45.
    Happy with those figures.

    Thank you!

Those pics aren't really telling the truth as it could do with a complete paint correction. The headlights and inner tail lights are in pretty bad shape but I'm terrified of getting the wet'n'dry to them.

Headlights come up very well, I've done my own E39's and a few others. I used 800, 1500 and 2500/3000 followed by a good compound and polish, should be extremely clear after. The inner rears go bad on all Tourings, my own were bad but a simple compound and polish brought them up without sanding.

These are from the last E39 I did:

That's what driving 90 miles a day for 10 days on salted main roads did to it, have a day off tomorrow so it'll get a well deserved wash.

I've no info on it, took the pic from a bit of a distance, doesn't look like a standard one, there's a few extras on it.

    Post it here in future.

Done some machine polishing on the car. Although it looks very clean, it has minute swirls and scratches that annoy me!
    Before and after :)
