SuperValu have 8 cans for €10.

Ulster Bank and AIB rewards currently doing €5 off a €25 spend there so theoretically you can get 24 cans for €25.

Where is that calculation coming forming? In particular the 0.789?
the density of ethanol. In Ireland a unit is 10g of alcohol. I should have divided by 1000 too.

There was confusion about this with the minimum pricing stuff in the media, many were using UK units and so getting predicted prices wrong.

    https://www.thejournal.ie/minimum-pricing-alcohol-3-3224809-Feb2017/
To find out how much an alcohol product weighs, for the purposes of this legislation, the following formula is used.

    ?width=559&version=3224883
    alcohol bill
    Source: Oireachtas.ie

So, for a 750ml bottle of wine at 12% strength, you would derive its grams like this

    750 x 0.12 x 0.789 = 71.01 grams
To then get the minimum price for that product, then you would multiply that figure of 71.01 by €0.10.

Thus, retailers would be obliged to charge at least €7.10 for this bottle of wine.

For a bottle of vodka, meanwhile, at 700ml and 37.5% volume, you would use the same method:

    700 x 0.375 x 0.789 = 207.11 grams.
No matter what brand it is, this bottle of vodka would be required by law to cost at least €20.71 under the new minimum pricing laws.

And, again, the same would apply to a 500ml can of beer at 5% alcohol volume.

    500 x 0.05 x 0.789 = 19.725 grams
Each can of beer would then be required to cost at least €1.97.

So how many units per bottle?? And is there 8 hours after 2 bottles before you can drive 🤔

Just noticed a few offers in Centra that end June 26th.

    Corona Light 12 x 355ml €11

Occasionally people ask about non-alcoholic beer, so this one is for you.

    OGB PURE BREW BOTTLE PACK 12 X 330ML €10

Have seen 25+ year Smithwicks drinkers jaws drop when they find out its 3.8%!

I'd rather wring out a dirty dishcloth into a pint glass and drink that :)

Paddy 700mL €20 in Dunnes. I had a €5 off €20 voucher from last weekend's grocery shop (they started doing this 2 weeks ago - the €5 voucher is only valid for a few days though) so got it for €15...

    Scrap the cap!

visa rewards with Bank of Ireland debit cards have €5 back on €25 so you’d get 6 bottles for €25!

Where do you get the 12-off-50 voucher?
I've to go to Supervalu later anyway- more than happy to bump up my spend to Eur50 if I get 12 quid off.

If you have the real rewards app and click on vouchers at the bottom of the screen there’s €10 off €50 every week for the next 5 weeks. This also works with the BOI cash back offer so between them both you can get €15 off €50

Not sure if it is the same voucher for everyone now, but if you check the Real rewards app on the phone there are 2 vouchers 12 of 50 and a couple more for 10 of 50, all for different weeks.

I think you are looking at wrong voucher, the 15 of 75 is for the first online shop. Look for the „weekly vouchers” on the app.

    I have 1 current 15-off-75 spend voucher and 4 upcoming 15-off-75 vouchers.
Its the weekly voucher ok, not the online shop......
They must give us all different ones.

The offers on spend and save vary depending on how much each person spends in that SuperValu, the one I use all the time is normally €15 off €75 and the others I rarely use are always €5 off €25

    The internet isn’t for everyone

the vouchers could/should be made into multi vouchers. So if you spend 25 you get a fiver off, but if you did spend 50 you get 10 off, or 15 off 75.

in the tesco thread there are reports of voucher appearing in freebie newspapers.

SuperValu have this brand for half price €23 until tomorrow close of play, I'd say if you are entertaining the international jet set brand snobs they wouldn't think much before they taste it but should be perfectly grand for your average drinker ;)

yeah, works out 14euro per 700ml. Some have gotten tesco vouchers in local papers too so could clean up.

It is clubcard day tomorrow so that is why the offers are expiring so soon.
