none, it simply gives the lad has his privacy, he stated a few months back that because he's always had a bag on when he performs nobody recognised him when he puked on the footpath in dublin one particular afternoon

    He's so edgy.

I saw him described somewhere as "a stupid person's idea of a smart person.." which is about right I think..

That's the way people who think they're clever describe Stephen Fry, not Blindboy.

It's almost slightly threatening, like he's trying to say "watch out". Overall I find it highly ambiguous and can't quite figure it out.

Sortof like wearing a sandwich board saying I am a complete gob****e, with tenuous notions of philosophical insight, without having to say a word. Priceless.

they used to like saying up the ra a lot and **** stirring about the north

they softened after the death of lyra mckee

But if you questioned their wisdom before that you were a west brit. It really encouraged a lot of sheepishness.

I like their chutspah. I disagree with some of their opinions ...agree with some.

They have a huge blindspot in some areas ..the name blind boy ...

They are intelligent. But so is everyone in their own way.

I don't think i could get through an entire concert of them though.

I don't think there's much to read into there, he's just looking at the camera, whatever people think they see in it is just a reflection of what they already think about him.

For the record, I used to have a lot of time for the lad. Made good music, funny videos, good comedy and seemed to talk a lot of sense - or at least enough sense to get a reaction out of threatened feeling cretins on the internet: what wasn't there to like?,

But, I dunno in the last 18 months or so he's lost whatever he had going for him. Basically, since the Podcast started becoming popular he's really started to navigate up his own hole. There was always a touch of that in his shtick, but it was mitigated by a lot of other good qualities. He's gone stale and become self indulgent. I can't listen to him anymore these days. He used to be edgy and kinda right, whereas now he's self absorbed and frequently completely wrong.

Looks like Dave's career is going through a rough patch due to the covid-19 pandemic. This virus isn't going to disappear anytime soon. How long before we see him back in the Limerick dole office (again)? :D

The fu*k is wrong with you?

Yes, it's known as Schadenfreude. Is it against the rules to not like a public figure now?

    Where did they say that?

They're not objecting to you disliking him, just to you enjoying that his income is in jeopardy.

I'm not a fan of him either but he hasn't done anything to me so I don't take pleasure in his current situation (or that of many others at present).

He's taking a hit by an ethical decision, not misfortune, so I don't think schadenfreude is the correct word. Normal people respect people who take hits to protect others.

His decision follows a diagnosed person attending a gig in Ennis. Some people were contacted and told to self -isolate. He personally was not.

Unluckily for you, he has 8,000 patrons who pay at least $1+ per month. So he’s grand really.

Oh no, David is short a few quid during the COVID-19 crisis. Nevermind the tens of thousands who lost their jobs or the health workers placing themselves on the front lines every day. Dave deserves his own article on the national news because his trip to Thailand was cancelled. Pass the hat around the raise some cash for our boy. https://www.rte.ie/news/2020/0415/1130701-arts-sector-covid19/

I remember when the Rubber Bandits were actually funny. Then the guy in the OP decided to go woke and get up on his soapbox and ruin it all. Big words don’t make your point valid, thesauruses don’t add value to the vapid collection of words in your head, and being “right on” with a combination of both points above is a recipe for reaching for the sick bag.

He's so far up his own hole at this stage he's smelling that plastic bag twice.
