Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Today, I discovered that pina colada bountys exist. But only in Russia :(

I could pay the extortionate prices to get some shipped over, but, effort.

You could always inject a pina colada into a Bounty !

That reminds me I had always only bought brown sliced bread, the kids saw white bread as a treat they would get in other people's houses and thought they were deprived:). When the bad snow came earlier in the year all that was available was white pans and ever since the 6 Yr old has refused point blank to eat brown bread. Some dose buying the half pans when no one else really eats it :(

Are you living in my house??

And the amount of people who are not dressed for the weather .Its not like it a new phenomenon that our winter is wet and cold .

Exactly. It's not like we're not used to to it. Put on a proper coat and footwear and you go where you like. And a good hat to keep the bald head warm.

If it was wet and windy in their underwear they would really have something to groan about.:D

Modern day parents. If you need Elf on the Shelf to discipline your children this christmas season, then you have messed up in that department somewhere along the way.

A swift 'no' must have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

    Genius.
I’m definitely doing this next time I have a pina colada :D

My annoyance is lack of sleep.
It feels like I’m moving in slow motion. If someone could wake me in about a week, that would be great :)

I'm sure I've said it before, but use of the word "female" as a noun. Drives me mental. We're women, not females.

Is it any different to what people have being doing for years “Santa is watching and you’ll be going on the bold list”.. anything that helps is a good thing surely!

TA, I’m all week waiting for the weekend to arrive so I can get out and do something and now i just want to stay in my pajamas all day and shut off the world. Friend just asked to meet me for tea, the cheek of her like! Doesn’t she know I’ll be busy watching TLC all day

It's scarier to get a "physical" presence there. I think it's the difference between doing what your parents say, and doing it because otherwise you won't get any presents.

An otherwise very articulate young woman was on the radio a minute ago and every time she said "I seen" and "We seen" I died a bit for her. Would some kind person gently correct her so she doesn't let herself down in public like this again.

I was thinking about a rogue door to door tradesman who offered to do some really cheap work or something...and he eluded the security camera...and all the neighbors were out and could not have seen him...

Having an ongoing argument with my four year old grandson about "I done". He insists I'm wrong when I correct him. We have kind of compromised by using "I have done" Seems "I did" is now regarded as incorrect among his peers.

Could have, should have, would have
Eg. "Your to young and are been a fool, you should of said it it the other way" ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Brain explodes.
All very basic English that's taught (not thought) in 3rd class.
When I see these used incorrectly I do have to read the sentence a couple of times to try and decypher it.

On the Garda twitter page whoever does it sometimes licence is spelled (not spelt) license....... not too big an issue you may think, BUT if it was spelled that way on the actual document, it would be a fake.

    No !

When southern Europeans can get it right there is no excuse for "native English speakers".

Perhaps its the English living over here are to blame ( great excuse for a couple of YT clips from Lerner and Loewe :) )

( It does bring home to me just how offensive I must sound when fluffing Spanish & Italian verbs :o )

My shower / shave routine is as follows:
    Monday - shower
    Tuesday - shave and shower
    Wednesday - shower
    Thursday - shave and shower
    Friday - shower
    Saturday - shower
    Sunday - shave and shower

I get up at 6am Monday to Friday to go to work. Two shaves in five days means less of a rush those other three mornings.

This morning I showered but forgot to shave. Now the whole routime is disrupted.

Those newly added voice-overs to old movies to fill in the periods of silence.
    Jeez drives me nuts!
    i.e.
"A middle aged man walks through the foggy street" etc.
(I can see all that for myself FFS)

And people who talk with their hands!
    Why do they do this?

Let herself down in public? The majority of the Irish public are just as bad as her. Most won't have even noticed she's said anything wrong.
