Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, anyone doing anything fun to anyone else tomorrow?! Go on and share pretty please!

Sure I'll start will I?.... I've painted eyes on all the eggs in the cupboard, I'll draw little spiders on the loo roll once everyone's asleep... Oh and I'll draw mustaches on everyone while they're sleeping... I've doctored bags of crisps, opening them carefully, adding things like spiders left over from Halloween and then supergluing the bags together again... Changed the white filling in chocolate bisquits to toothpaste... etc. April 1st is one of my favourite days of the year :D

Wait until you're 8 or 9 and the novelty will have worn off with maturity.

I suppose once you reach adulthood, April's fools loses it novelty.
How many posts tomorrow stating that Trump has resigned/transgendered/defected/died will we see?

    What's a "youse"?

Friday cheer? About something happening on Saturday? Located entirely in your house? At this time of the year?

I've 6 kids in my house. None of them are mine, they don't got no names but I've got 'em.

One of the stupidest things I've ever done...

I was working in a Private Hospital way back.
A man was admitted with very serious injuries, supposedly the result of a punishment beating that went on for several days. He was there for several months and was getting on grand with staff. Early one morning he left his room and wasn't seen again. Problem was his bill was gigantic - even though he was rumoured to have been paying cash installments.

Anyway, April 1 rolls on and I'd been working a night shift. For some extremely thick reason I phoned the Matron and told her yer man was back and asking for his old room. Before I could say "April Fool" she hung up and phoned the CEO - at 6.40 in the morning. He arrived about 20 mins later with 4 Gardai and needless to say they weren't in the slightest amused.

Yeah, you can keep April Fools thanks.

Shes a bit jumpy at the best of times, spiders in her crisps and toilet roll would have her in bits.

One of the secretaries gave him a call, saying a new Client wanted a call back, called Annie Lyons and gave him the phone number to Dublin Zoo.

Juvenile I know, but we couldn't believe he fell for it.

He made the call and even missed the "hello, Dublin Zoo?" part - went straight to ask to speak to Annie Lyons

Have always wanted to fake a lotto win for a family member or friend. Would have to supply them the "winning" numbers after seeing their ticket beforehand. Would be difficult, but my god what an April fools that would be!

"Hold on a second! DON'T call that Ferrari dealership just yet.............you actually DIDN'T win the Euromillions jackpot at all!! APRIL FOOLS!!!!!"

Only problem would be never speaking to that person again. A small sacrifice in some cases.

I'd say abortion clinics get a good few inquiries from concerned boyfriends before 12 noon...

But the voucher is actually just something I made up and printed off :D

You do know the gag must be made before noon, otherwise you become the fool - ie, they'll ultimately make you get the bill!

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Two quick work related ones...

    1.
Lock the toilet door from the outside using a coin in the slot below the handle. Many people don't realise that the lock is accessible from the outside. Watch as staff and customers play the waiting game...

    2.
A sticker or white paper square sellotaped to the underside of a computer mouse. Cue shaking of mouse, frantic swiping and clicking.

    Ahhhh. Good times
