Beautiful day in Dundalk. Wind sprung up about 5 pm (probably tide coming in) settled after that to a lovely evening.

Shocking day in west cork. Cloudy, drizzling most of the day. Was grand on the drive to skibb and Baltimore but anything before was drizzle! Didn’t put us off going for a swim on the beach though :)

It’s quite nice in Killiney Hill Park with mackerel skies and sunny spells.

It was dry for most of the day in my area of west Cork but has turned drizzly and misty in the last hour and a half.

Turned into a lovely day in Castlebar after a dull and cloudy start, got up to 20.3C.

Overcast here near Tralee the last couple of days but remained dry apart from a few mins of mist now and again. Grand weather for pottering around doing a few jobs but not pretty to look at, feeling warm in the close calm airs, got up to 19.1 C today and still 16C atm.

Looks like we are ifn for quite a bit of cloud and mist and drizzle at times this week, wet at times especially in the Northern half of the country more so in Northern counties but sunny spells also and showing potential for a bit of thundery weather . ECM showing Tues as particularly warm in parts and very mild if not warm night to follow.

The difference between East and West !
I climbed Sliabh Foye in Carlingford yesterday, blue skies , heat , no wind , butterflies , bees, grasshoppers , hares .........the mountain was bursting with summer life

. Long may we continue to get this weather ! Hope it improves in Cork and the West .

Looking at MT's forecast today the south east is looking like it will have drought conditions going forward into July. Grass growth is probably slow in many of those areas already and crops would be affected too. I'd say many areas of the country already have soil moisture issues.

The sky is breaking up nicely; sun striving to come through.

as for rain; we are mightily blessed and the growth of green leafy edibles is amazing.

The weather will probably be great again in about a week's time when i'm away again. Always happens.

My first time looking at the charts in about 5 days, the next 1 to 2 weeks don't look too bad, temperature close to or a few degree's above average at times. We seem to be well and truly over the chilly run which ended the 3rd week of June. Could be unsettled at times, especially in the west and north, but could escape quite dry in the east and especially the south-east with trace amounts of rain in places like Wexford.

An absolutely miserable day in Cork City which is strange - wasn't expecting it at all for some reason. Ah well, a temporary blip :pac:

Very still back in Meath. Overcast on drive West to East.
Missing Achill. We had beautiful days over there.

looks fairly decent in Meath from tomorrow, mostly dry, some sunny spells and temperatures around 20C or slightly above for the next few days. Might be a bit of rain on Thursday. Warm again this weekend, mid 20's possible in Meath.

Beautiful all day in west cork today! Different then the city according to my sister.

Blue skies and about 24 degrees here. Beach day!

Cloudy here all day. There's a few drops of rain about. Seems to be a bit more now. It's 17.4C now after a high of 18.2C a short while ago.

Utterly miserable in Letterkenny, hasn't stopped raining for one minute since morning, we really are getting the short straw this summer

just saw the RTE forecast and it doesn't look great for the North-West over the next few days, a definite north-west to southeast split for a while in terms of temperature and dryness.

tomorrow could be quite warm at times, especially in the south and east. We could see a 25C or even 26C in the Shannon, Limerick, Cork regions if there are decent spells of sunshine.

Not as warm on Wednesday, but still low 20s possible across much of the south-eastern half of the country.

    arpegeuk-41-49-0.png?08-18

Warm again over Leinster and parts of Munster on Thursday:

Friday looks warm again for most of the country away from the North-West.
