Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If I was in Galway I’d do it for you via post etc -did you try emailing them or phoning TM ? Also try phoning Zhivago - they might accept your tickets via registered post and then refund to an agreed bank account? Just a thought I don’t even know if that’s possible

Just emailed Zhivago there, never thought of that and thanks.

I'm seriously thinking of going to London to the Royal Albert Hall gig.
    Its scheduled for late October.
Not sure if rescheduling dates in October is being too ambitious? Mmm.

Had tickets for the Manchester one in May. That's going ahead in October now

Called into Zhivago yesterday was given a slip of paper with ticketmaster website, had to upload photo of ticket with void written across it plus the booking ref number and name of event, will get refund apparently in 30 days. :)

I'm hoping with the vaccine roll out that Nick might try to organise another Dublin gig or even get a slot in Electric Picnic if it happens

Wish I shared your optimism. SofS was the 2020 gig I most wanted to see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,012 ✭✭✭furiousox

Yeah I think it's unlikely we'll get the chance to see them in Dublin again now.
Hope I'm wrong though, I'm a "saucer is half-empty" kinda guy.

Electric panic? No thanks. I'm too old to be standing in a field. Probably wouldn't be into most of the other acts there either so would be a waste of money.

I stood in Wroclaw city square for 7 hours for an open air Pink Floyd gig in 35c heat 4 years ago. That was tough. But Stradbally would be torture lol

    No thanks

I had misplaced my front row tickets for the show and was about to phone TM for replacements when it was cancelled.
Found them a few weeks ago when I was doing a bit of tidying up. Ah well.

No doubt you'll have to do the same as me then if you've to get hard copy tickets refunded. https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=113925028&postcount=205

When all these travel restrictions fully lift across Europe I think a city break weekend away and a Nick Mason gig will be seriously considered.. especially if he doesn't do a date here, although I am willing to bet he will play here...

    That does look very appealing.
Nearest airport is Pisa I think?

Yeah I've done it. Cheap as chips. Fly into Pisa with Ryanair, train to Pisa central from the airport - 20 mins - and then a train to Lucca for 3 quid - 25 mins.

Just thinking, may actually make a week of it. Rent a car. Lucca, Siena, Florence, fly home from Bologna.

What a venue for a gig too. Right in the town square.

Sounds perfect, but have my doubts about airlines operating then.

Heard about this last night and TFG there were still TX left. In row FF. Just realized that it's three days after Sparks at Vicar Street. With two lots of train fares and hotels, its going to be a very expensive week

2022 North American dates postponed which leaves Dublin as the opening night of the tour, hopefully.

Yes got a ticket again, woo hoo, first gig this year and then Pixies at Arts Festival in Galway. :)

Edit: My sister got me this for my birthday when I checked ticketmaster I realised there was apparently only eight tickets left, I think my ticket is for the upper circle so I'm probably at the very back. I don't care though just glad to be going, if any Boardsies are meeting up I'll be wearing my Syd Barrett Opel t-shirt. Caught Gilmour's Floyd at Manchester in 1988 but have never seen Roger Waters and will probably not now seeing as he's nearly pushing 80, I don't think he'll be touring again.

What's the protocol for the Convention centre do you need to have a printout of the ticket or can you show an eticket on your phone?

Can we get the mods to change the date at the top to Weds 13 April 2022. When I saw this had reached the top of my links, I thought it had fallen foul of COVID once again

does anyone know the capacity of the Convention Centre, btw. There are stlll seats left so my guess is quite large

Just want to ask this again is an eticket on your phone acceptable or will I have to get a printout of my ticket to gain admittance to the venue?

Sorry man, can't help you. We kept the original paper tickets from the reschedule and I've never been to an event in the Conf. Centre before. I would assume they are set up with readers to scan the barcode on your phone

Maybe we can have a Boards meet up before the gig, I'll probably be wearing my Syd Barrett Opel t-shirt to this. :)
