Temperture took a big tumble there as the 'rain' passed through - only 2.7mm to date.

    11.45 - 13.2c
    12.45 - 9.9c

Max. in the last 24 hours was 13.7c at around 10 this morning.

Seems to be some lightning/thunderstorm activity approaching the west coast now.

I was in Westport last weekend - wish it was this weekend!!!

Just seen a distant flicker of lightning to my west. Hopefully we will get some action tonight. Looks like all the action is further south at the moment.

Hail shower here and vantage reporting cats and dogs, pretty loud on the roof! I'm directly under that little pink spot on the radar over Wicklow right now on met.ie

Heavy shower just passed here too, 2.1mm in 20 mins, eased of a bit now but still raining.

5.2c now, high of 12.9c before the cold front passed this morning, then dropped 3c in around 30 minutes.

Down to 3.7c here now and lashing rain. Miserable night. Must be sleety stuff over the mountains even though its not forecast...

Locking this finally boys and girls. 241 pages of great contributions thanks to one and all!, but its become a bit of a monster and some great weather events are in there but pretty hard to track down at this stage.
Instead every month we'll have a new "current conditions" tread that should be far easier to find if you want to look back at a particular weather spell in the future - be it rain or shine! (or snow ;))
