Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Exeter on head 2 head right?

    But Munster a best 2nd?

So sloppy against a side who are both measured and accurate

    Not going well

    Where is the game management?

Despite all the intensity, it's a poor match.

Murray off, and Beirne in trouble.

As it stands, Munster are one point ahead in the table.

Exeter need 4 tries and deny Munster any points

    Yeah just realised that.

Not sure Munster will go through as a best second.

Ulster have 22, Glasgow 19 and Toulouse should beat Bath to get to at least 21

They don't need 4 tries. They need to win by 8 points or more...I think...

Another potential three points turned down.

Do Exeter understand what is needed of them?

Edit: and then lose the lineout. Crazy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Yep Exeter just need to deny Munster a LBP. Or a TBP.

Nope, they do not need 4 tries. They need 4-0 or 5-1 matchpoints. If they scored a converted try now and the game finished then they'd go through and Munster would go out.

That's a killer for Exeter, have struggled to get down there second half.

Big big steel.worth s try in this game of 50 mins without a score

There hasn't been a score in over 45 minutes, 3 points won't do them any good at this rate.

Exeter must deny Munster a point - at the moment a lbp is the only one on offer

The BT Sport team just clarified, if it becomes an 8 point game Munster go no further.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭crisco10

Did scsnnel not turn that into a tackle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Botha has been much better than TOD.

Scannell never released Whitten there...the penalty should have gone the other way

There hasn't been a score because Exeter keep going for the corner and making a balls of it.

Great turnover from Kleyn but POM pretty clearly impacted the Exeter clearout imo.

Wow, crazy then that they didn't take there shots at goal in the first half... They would be 10 points clear

Get this and Exeter would have to score twice

Defo. But in fairness, garces consistently allows breakdown to be a free for all.

    Shot on goal- excellent

Big score. Exeter need 10 now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,664 ✭✭✭Tin Foil Hat

That should do. I don't think Exeter have 2 score in them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,601 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

Both teams are playing the ref tonight. He's not policing the breakdown at all so both teams are illegal all the time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,814 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    That is probably Munster through.

Exeter need a try and penalty/DG

    That's qualification sorted.

It cannot be overstated how idiotic Exeter have been in this match. They've turned down every kickable penalty they've had, every single one. And they're going out of the competition because of it.

Those experiences will come in handy for carbery come the WC final!
