Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If we lose by seven or less we still go through

Is Murray struggling to pass properly?

All the Munster fans on boards have to do a forfeit and get "I heart Reggie Corrigan" tattooed on their arse

Enjoyable game so far, the physicality is right up there. Exeter the better team so far imo, bar dealing with Murray's box kicks which have been excellent as per usual.

That's a poor kick to touch from Simmons if they weren't taking points.

Exeter turning down points is madness. I know this is how they play but they know the permutations.

And they fluff the lineout. Idiots.

Haley really is a class act. covers the backfield so well and seems so assured under the high ball

    What was that penalty for?

    Watching C4 thank god

How was the ball being slapped from Earls' hands missed?

Still, Munster need to really, really focus on discipline if these lads are heading for the corners.

    Offside

The exeter 14 was sitting on the ground trying yo tackle munster players, thats illegal. You have to be on your feet to get involved in play

Two kickable penalties declined for no return.

    Exeter will rue that.

Yeah, it's great isn't it? Super contest there between the two teams imo.

    I like Nugent.
Cannot stand him, I've been switching over to the Beeb for years for Irish games rather than listen to him.

"Many thought Exeter would get blown away in the first 20".

Who though that Ryle? Absolute rubbish.

    Gwan someone throw a dig.

Whoever gathered that ball stepped towards the touchline which was a bit daft.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't come out for the 2nd half

There are rucks where every single player is off their feet

    Why?
    He always looks wrecked

It’s not that he tries to attach a narrative to the game that is already so obvious. Gone are the days of the research and rich anecdotes Bill McLaren used to add on to the running commentary

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,253 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Isn't it great you all have 3 choices of commentary?

Doesn't look like it to me at all. He's clearly not comfortable taking the ball into contact. There's been at least 2 cases I've noticed where he's obviously been protecting himself - which would be understandable if the rib isn't right.

100 miles an hour. But munsters handling skills really letting them down

Has been very sloppy in possession.

Munster backline with absolutely zero shape ... again.

Chiefs are excellent at the breakdown.

Exeter player lying on the ruck preventing him from releasing

Do Exeter not have a goalkicker?? This is madness.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,091 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Munsters pack is not running over the top of players which is a problem because the back line offers little. No shape.

It’s not just his accent....he has a weird tone to it. Sounds like he is actually eating his words.
& he is clueless about rugby!

God forbid Munster play like Munster and pick and jam and one out runners, they'd actually have possession

Why take a free kick with a scrum so dominant? Ludicrous

Exeters aversion to kicking penalties is just bizarre.

I can’t believe people are talking about Hayley as an Irish prospect, for a supposedly rock solid fullback “in the joe Schmidt mound” his last three possessions were running straight into two men and turning the ball over, knocking on in a great position and throwing a pass five meters behind his man

Yes it was difficult but they got 0 points from what they attempted there, and 0 points the last time, and I think 0 points the time before that.

Tries are irrelevant here, they need to win 8-0. They'd have gotten one of the kicks at the least.
