Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will Dublin get any thunderstorms later

  • Registered Users Posts: 163 ✭✭Calmcookie84

The sky is looking really funky in Midleton!

Might scrape a few sparks tomorrow morning but not expecting much tbh. Waterford coastline/Youghal is the spot to be tonight. Maybe an odd heavy shower up this way towards morning.

Few days out so take with pinch of salt as could change, cape showing good potential for the west on Tuesday and central counties, eastern counties and northern parts too on Friday. Could see some moderate thunderstorm activity if things go as projected. Certainly an interesting week ahead.

Just up the coast from Youghal in east Cork. Really hopeful about tonight!

I take it Tramore, Co. Waterford might see some action tonight ?

Sky at the moment is strange, can't really describe it, but its very humid here at the moment, still a lovely 17 degrees.

Look promising. There was an orange tinge to the sky earlier and wind has died down alot

Just above 19 degrees here and its nearly 10pm which is unusual, assuming it has to do with the storm. Expecting a few stray sparks in here in the city

Keep an eye to Netweather radar. Should see some action later tonight.

Yeah looking at it alright, seems to be a good bit of activity off the coast, but sticking there at the moment. Hopefully it will move in as the night goes on.

Small chance that those in eg Tramore/Hook Head who have a clear sky out to sea may just be able to see the tops of clouds light up out to sea.

For those of us in the east keep an eye on Cardigan Bay

That cluster of developing instability in Cardigan Bay could get interesting for the east coast in the next few hours as well.

Cork Airport reporting wind direction from the north while the storm is moving from the south. Opposing wind directions with warm/cooler airmasses is ripe for thunderstorm activity right?

Crikey, nothing here in the city yet anyway. Dead calm and a light mist, wind totally died down. Calm before the storm? :p
