Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

€2 RedC survey, my first in weeks. I was kicked out for not wanting to give my address and eircode.

Would the rest of ye share that kind of info in a survey? I know red c have it anyway on my account but I'm uncomfortable putting my eircode into a survey......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69,555 ✭✭✭✭L1011

Was it a third party survey? Load of UK operators think Eircode is like a UK postcode that doesn't actually locate your house exactly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,814 ✭✭✭sunbeam

Was that the one about smart meters? I gave mine reluctantly as I hadn't got anything from RedC for ages.

Anybody have issues dragging and dropping in some surveys using a touchscreen device? I've had few lately where I have had to abandon because the items wouldn't drag.

I had this in a Mobrog survey about sports on tv. I emailed them and got a generic reply back. Got the same survey from them this morning with a higher reward and the same thing happened. I just gave up then.

Edited to add that the first time I tried it was on my laptop and the second was on my phone.

I usually give the first part of the eircode - just identifies the town. I would not be happy with giving them the whole thing

That's exactly it, eircodes are much more specific than UK postcodes!
I'll try giving them the first half next time, cheers

You could use eir code finder to search a random address in your area which will work, I use the post office

I would to RedC as they have it already for sending out the cheques.

Seems like problem with Cint/Pay Pal not sorted yet.On the 17th Sept on my home page on Triaba the Pay Pal option for pay out became live again(it was gone for a couple of weeks) and I claimed two rewards which was grand(so I thought). But as of today these claims are again showing "pending".So I reckon the problem is not sorted yet.

if something is 100 euro online, can you use the 50 euro from redc plus another debit card?

I got on to one of the cint survey companies and they haven't a clue when it will be sorted out with PayPal.

On amazon you can top up your acc using the Redc Card then finish your purchase with another card.

Be careful of the exchange rate though

If you have access to PayPal you can add the card send it to a friend and they return it to you then the €50 is in your PayPal balance and you can send it to your bank
I do this and the money is in my Revolut in a few hours

Got a €3 survey from RED C today about betting brands(in which I have an interest),but after completing it only got €2.Not worth complaining about the euro but this never happens with RED C.Wonder did anyone else get that survey?

No Paypal at the moment but should be fixed soon.
    Dear User,

Unfortunately, due to some additional security measures put in place by Paypal recently, we have been experiencing severe delays in processing your Paypal rewards payments.

    What has happened?

    · Paypal was not accepting bank transfers from Cint - the technology platform used to deliver surveys and rewards to panelists. This means we were unable to add money to our account in order to pay you.

What steps have been taken so far?

    · We have returned the points for all pending Paypal transactions back to your account; so, you could choose another reward option where possible.

    · We have temporarily removed the option to choose Paypal in our portal/app.

    · We have identified the problem as to why Paypal was not accepting Cint’s bank transfers (Recent security measures implemented by Paypal without any pre-warning has prevented many payments from getting correctly transferred).

When can you receive your Paypal payments?

    · We expect to be able to restart offering Paypal payments from the 28th of September 2020

We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience this disruption has caused. We will provide a further update as soon as payments resume.

I missed this on the 22nd when it arrived but I chanced my arm and tried it the following day and it worked. I was credited the full amount as well so just in case people get these in the future (ones that say same day) - try it anyway if you miss it. Worst that can happen is you get screened out.

I'm there myself this month with €4 to spare. But when I'm sweating for €2 or €3 for the €50 towards the 29th and I get the one that matters it's a mixture or relief and then satisfaction.

You can cash out for Amazon vouchers at £5 worth of points but it take me about 5 or 6 weeks to get that. How are you getting 200 points per day?

27th april was my last payout but I don't do that many surveys from them, they aren't one of my favorites. i get lots of survey opportunities from them but don't always try to do the surveys.

Anyone else struggle with the Acumen surveys that asks about great food or drink advertisements and good promotional deals? I don't pay any attention to ads on TV, so never can come up with a good one when asked.

Still, Acumen is my favourite survey company and I make the most from them. I have 100 in TK Maxx vouchers squirreled away since March for Xmas now.

I must be completely in the wrong demographic for RedC now as I rarely get any surveys from them - and then get eliminated from them more often than not. I only manage to get roughly 1 x 50 in a year now!

I try to remember/recall at least one in an effort to be useful - it's often the same one though every time.

The only good ad I can remember recently is the one where kids are playing football and lost by a massive number of goals, but the manager is full of praise for them and says any other team would have lost by even more. I just can't recall what product is actually being advertised! :pac:

I couldn't think of any either. I always find answering questions about ads tough as I only watch tv on my laptop and don't see many of them.

I'm lucky to get 100 Euro from RedC in a year.

I don’t watch regular tv either and use an add blocker so I never see any adverts, doesn’t have any impact on surveys

Are there still people in here that work with MTurk? I haven't seen any posts on it since last year and I'm wondering how does it work regarding tax? If you or your spouse have a part - time job and in receipt of Working Family Payment , I'm assuming everything must be declared as they request your PPS number (I think!) , does this mean that you're self employed and no longer entitled to WFP??

The tax situation of all of these things is a bit unknown; a lot of the surveys and so on are considered (by the company - possibly not by Revenue!) as gifts and nobody is going to breach the gift limit (3k a year from one source) on them, but MTurk could be considered work.

You would need to speak to a tax advisor about that - this is far too important to take advice online about.

Thanks L1011. I didn't know the others were considered as gifts, which Mturk could possibly fall into if you accepted the amazon vouchers/credits instead of cash. (?)
I haven't signed up for anything yet, just seeing what different options are out there and any implications they might have. Would love to hear other peoples experience though with MTurk.
