Is there something up with the site today?

Pages are glacially slow to load, haven't experienced it with other websites, just boards.

I've tried rebooting, still the same.

Not the end of the world, but v frustrating!

Hope this is the right place to ask......

    Hi HeidiHeidi,

Yes, there are some nodes under strain and that seems to be causing some slowdown across the site. Sorry for the disruption.

Unusual load times for pages (30-40 seconds) and some complete time outs.
    Pinging looks normal though.

I had the same issue for most of the day on Safari. Tried it on Firefox just now and am getting normal load times. Still trying to figure out why.

I'm on Firefox, and it's about 10 or 15 seconds to load each page.

ETA - I just timed it and it's more like 30-40 seconds

The slowness looks to be on just the touch site here, the desktop version is OK.

yes its appalling today. I've logged out and back in, I've shut my laptop down and rebooted it, I've turned off WiFi and back on, I've tried it on my iPad instead of laptop, but the result is the same no matter what I do.
Extremely frustrating. No other sites are like this, just off Amazon UK and all good there.

Nope- IE, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on a W10 desktop- all crawling here.
Also tried it over a VPN and over a Citrix connection, featuring Catalina and Mint- crawling on those too.

That's the main issue I've faced today. Loads times for pages seem fine, but attachments take forever to load and inevitably end up as a black screen

    Hi all,

Sorry for the ongoing issues. Unfortunately restarting your system, changing browsers, clearing cache, etc. won't help with this situation as the issue is server side.

    Pick one of the following,
    loss of VM
    Loss of a few CPUs
    Database overloaded
    etc

No problems here at all. Using Chrome on Touch site. Strange.

I'm on a laptop on Chrome and it is very slow, takes about 10 to 15 seconds to go from one page to another. I thought it was my internet - which is pretty poor at the best of times - but other sites, and skype, are fine.

Edit - oh and posting (and editing) takes ages, and the post sometimes does not 'take' till the page has been refreshed.

Not here it isn't :( It's as slow as castor oil on both phone and computer.

Pretty much unusable at the minute for me. Pages taking 30+ seconds to load all day.

Your experiences are different than mine so. Tried various devices including via VPN etc. The only place it’s slow is on the touch site- regular joe site is humming along
