Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Most of the winners in recent years have been generally likeable people. The candidates in each year who were disliked or deeply unpopular always fall short.

I don't agree with that. I remember that Australian Guy who won a few years ago (I think his name Mark Wright, not to be confused with the TOWIE star) was quite arrogant and unlikeable at least imo.

You might not have liked him but he got on with most of the contestants and was quite popular.

If you look at the crowd reactions when using the rollercoasters, the crowd looked way more excited in the nightmate one, the effects worked better and got a much better reception.

The loop one, the crowd were being thrown all over the place, it looked fairly uncomfortable so not too surprised with the result.

The nightmare one looked **** but had probably better potential

Well thats partly while I'm calling shenanigans. Its not about designing a roller coaster its about creating a brand, and the brand of the Final Loop looked way better.
it looked fairly uncomfortable so not too surprised with the result.

Roller coasters aren't meant to be comfortable. People are going for the adrenaline rush. The speed, the sensations and the next best thing. There is a roller coaster in the UK with 14 loops, and there are people who would want to go on the one with 15.

Concern was raised by the "expert" that 0-60 in just over a second would be dangerous, but theres one in Ohio that gets 0-190kph(so 114 miles an hour) in just under 4 seconds.

It really feels to me, that they were going to fail that task no-matter what.
They had a guy on You're Fired suggesting that so many loops and their world record speed would actually be a death trap.

Well I've given up on You're Fired. And this is an example of why. Don't bring on a physicist to talk about a brand task, bring on a brand expert. Also, is that fact, or did he do it to get a laugh?

They got more of an adrenaline rush from the nightmare one due to the use of spray etc, the loop one had the riders being thrown all over the place, their glasses kept falling off which made the experience a bit rubbish. I didn't get the impression thar many of the crowd enjoyed the experience , whereas most did seem to enjoy the nightmare one

As for the brand, there was probably more potential with the nightmare one with the reverse drop

Whatever about some candidates probably being kept in for increased viewership, I'm enjoying this year's series overall. It's much better than the last two I think. I don't think there's any obvious frontrunner yet, Thomas is a clown but he does seem to have a bit of substance to him. Lottie does seem quite astute but this "I'm not here to make friends blah blah" attitude is a bit tiresome. Still though, she is only 19 so plenty of time to grow up.

Lottie is insufferable. Cant see her going the whole way.

Are herself and Lewis still hooking up or has that ended in tears?

Going by the spat they had on Twitter last week I think that ship has sailed.

Tom is beginning to annoy me a bit now, he came up with good ideas last night but going off on a rant because he didn't get his own way on everything was a bit much.

I don't know anything about the technology, but I find it very hard to believe that they went from a 3D design on screen to a live experience in the 4D auditorium overnight. It's got to take longer than that, even just to test for safety if nothing else.

    Lewis might disagree with you.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the lack of a Monty Python reference in the Finland episode.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,438 ✭✭✭Still Ill

Don't think there was much between the two teams tonight tbh. Could have easily picked the other team and fired that useless plank of a PM.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,447 ✭✭✭Calhoun

Out of the two teams i think he picked the right one to come back to the board room.

I don't understand how Ryan Mark has survived again, if not him then i would have at least gotten rid of the PM who seemed quite ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,500 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Ryan Mark is as slippery as it goes.

His utter reluctance to be PM is pathetic. I've rarely seen such cowardice as when he put himself forward to be PM a few weeks ago and then voted against himself. I know he said he'd be PM next week but I'm sure he'd get out of it if he could.

Can't see him, Dean or Lottie winning anyway, they'd drive Lord Sugar up the wall.

Right now I'd have Scarlett or Lewis to win. He loves recruiters and marketers. Maybe Carina too.

Ryan Mark has to be PM next week if he doesn't and he is brought to the board room he is gone. He drives me mad because he is the expert on everything until it comes to doing something. Last week for example his logo looked like something from the alien films.

Agreed on Dean on Lottie, Dean was really bad tonight even in the pitch he just couldn't hold it together it was like he was speaking out of a marketing jargon book. Lottie is way to young and doesnt work well with others but she keeps viewers watching for now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,369 ✭✭✭robwen

If I had to put money on it I'd say Lewis will win it but it'll all depend on his business plan. The 2 PM's this week are canon fodder along with Ryan Mark, the Irish girl Pamela seems to be coasting in the background & looks to throw people under the bus in the boardroom.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,429 ✭✭✭FAILSAFE 00

Pamela has been cruising under the radar for weeks now.

There has been weeks were you'd forget she is on the show

It's a good strategy though, show well early then coast along watching more contestants disappear. She just needs to survive for the next few weeks. It's only in the last few weeks where she needs to go try win it. Her business plan will decide how she does.

Saw it for the first-time. The Finnish one.
What a terrible, flat , boring programme. Without an ounce of wit or humour or charm. How was the winning team decided but by a Sugar whim. The videos they make! They are so pathetic. They are like little kids. Tedious people. If I hear someone say 'skill set' again... .
Won't be wasting my time on this again.

Dean was so so lucky he was on the winning side as he was simply awful this week.

    Absolutely zero chance of winning.

He's nailed on to be fired next time a team he's on loses. Easily the weakest candidate left.

I'm thinking he has a strong business model because he has survived being sacked several weeks despite being useless

[Mod snip! Use spoiler tags or better, don't discuss what you see on twitter]

I actually think Lottie has a chance. She’s strong and smart. The only think letting her down was her people skills, which she seemed to real in in the last episode.

Can’t remember her name but the girl who was in the winning team with the awful PM I think is favourite atm. The rest are awful. The Irish one has literally done nothing all series, Like not even one decent comment. Must be one of the worst candidates to get this far ever.

Doesn't really matter how bad they are in tasks now imo. If they have a good business proposal they'll keep getting through until the interviews, doesn't matter if you excel in tasks (although not many of them do) he'll still find a reason to dump you before the end if your proposal is poor.

She also comes across as a sly one.. always with little digs. Agree completely she's done nothing either which Sugar pointed out himself. She should have gone too.

As for yer man Ryan Mark... arrogant twit who thinks he's better than the rest for sure, but has done nothing at all to justify it.
