Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FYI for anyone using a mobile connection or indeed many fixed wireless users your ISP might over-ride your DNS server selection thus negating any manual DNS you set up on your own device or router.

They provide a DNS by VPN option to get over this if you find yourself in trouble.

I signed up for a free trial with Getflx and couldn't get it working on United States 15 (only option in drop down).

Working fine for me since it changed to us 15. I put the Dublin DNS into my router. If it is still not working and you have done this I added some static roots to my router last week via SSH. I am not sure if this is why mine is working as it didn't work on the previous Netflix us version, 8 I think. If you have a provider router then you might not be able to do this. The static routes to add are somewhere on Getflix. I added via the web interface but also via SSH with root access.

Last version wasn't working for me either, so I guess Netflix had caught on to that server. 15 working well for me, too. I don't have any static routes on my router.

For anyone that has successfully used this in a fire stick, did ye do so through the router or via the network settings of the fire stick?

Cheers for that, signed up for the free trial and tested it on the stick itself and so far it works great.

How would you set it up on a Smart TV??? Do you use an app or is it by changing the network settings???

By manually changing the network settings. Under IP settings you should see something related to DNS which will default to automatic and you just need to change that manually.

If you post your TV model it will be easier to give you specific instructions

To those saying it works great, are you able to use Netflix US? I got stung with renewing a year sub with Unotelly a month before Netflix clamped down on it and it was a complete waste of money.

Yep. I got stung as well but this works good. I have some problems with a Sony tv and sometimes things don't play but can't complain for the price

I'm on the free trial at the moment and US netflix works but it is temperamental. For example earlier herself wanted to watch season 3 of Penny Dreadful but only season 1 and 2 would work. This evening she watched an episode of another show fine but the following episode wouldn't work.

Working flawlessly for amazon prime and bbc iplayer though.

Don't have a Samsung but if you used it with the other providers then it's the same procedure, just use Getflix DNS setting.

I'm sure it will be under the network settings on your tv.

Did you find out where to change it? I had mine on my router but seems easier to set up the TV.

Signed up for the lifetime sub but I reckon I could spend that lifetime trying to get it to work. Netflix is a proxy error fest, Prime Video is still convinced my holiday in Ireland will be over any day now.

Tried via DNS and VPN on Android, Windows 10, Smart TV and PS4 and nothing works. I have to say, while I'm not 100% au fait with this, I've successfully used services like this before and the Getflix site and Knowledge Base is a needlessly confused and confusing clusterfrap.

Nevertheless, thank to the OP for a good BA. If only I could get it to work!

Signed up a few days ago and its working great. Mostly wanted it for UK and US DNS for iplayer, 4od, itv player, NBC, abc, fox, etc. If netflix works at all it's a bonus and to my surprise i have been able to stream US netflix without a problem so far.

Have also been able to view UK amazon prime library.

This has all been done by manually putting in the DNS settings on my samsung j series smart tv.

Just one thing, make sure you refresh your ip address

Use the Irish DNS settings if you are Irish based.

Are you changing the DNS settings.? Then you should use the ones listed that are the closest to your location, not what part of the globe you want to access. You change the DNS settings and don't have to change them again.

Log into your account on the Getflix page and it will tell you if it is running with your current IP address. If not it will ask you to hit the update or refresh button on the page.

On your dashboard you should be able to "force ip address update"

Getflix need to know your current external IP address. If this is not static either use getflix app from app store or dydns service to keep your IP undated. I use no-ip with no problems.

Thats not how this works. This is dns redirection not resolving your actual ip. Irish people need to use the Irish dns server which automatically redirects depending on your website configured servers

Refreshing means to force an update of getflix to use your current which is something you may have to do a lot if you have a dynamic ip.

I think the reasons above are probably the main cause of most people's problems
