Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You will have it possibly Wednesday latest Thursday so I'd say.

Got the Vision eGo this morning. Maybe it takes while to kick in properly but I'm not blown away by it yet. It's okay but nothing spectacular. The draw is bit tight and the flavour a bit muted but the vapour is fine. Hoping that it improves with use and I've heard that it does. Vapour is a bit cool too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 813 ✭✭✭mrplop

I got the Vision this morning too - this may be the updated version as I have had no dry hits or problems getting it going.

I'm finding the flavour to be pretty good and it works very well on an unregulated Ego battery (not so good on the Lavatube) actually think this is worth the €8 I paid for it.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 9,689 Mod ✭✭✭✭stevenmu

If you take the mouthpiece off and look inside, there's a metal spike above the rubber bung over the coil in the updated version. At least there is on the one I got from HC that wasn't there on the the first ones I got.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

the one I got from healthcabin had the metal spike but it still didnt perform great

granted i was using it on the lavatube, not on an ego

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Mine has that spike and the calibrated markings too. In fairness, it's the best clearo that I've used.

Flavour is improving but I'm only using 9mg Liqua strawberry so TH is weak anyway.

Draw seems kinda tight compared to the DCT but most things seem tight compared to the carto's I suppose.

Did yours fit right on or are you using an adapter?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

    510-ego adapter

i was using that with everything on my lavatube for ages as the draw on the lavatube was far too tight when I had cartos screwed in all the way

then last week I realised I could just leave the carto a little bit loose and i didn't need the adapter at all.

This is by far the best clearo I've used, tight draw doesn't seem as bad now.
This is one for an ego battery though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Yeah, I agree that it's the best clearo that I've used too. Still find the draw too tight and the vapour too cool though. Just took a few toots from my DCT and it's still better even with a 6 day old carto I think.

Definitely not a waste of money though and I hear they get better after a day or so. Just wish the draw was a bit looser and a bit warmer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 185 ✭✭achieve

Just started a CE4 Plus aka Vision aka Stardust myself today. Unlike Bono, I think I "have finally found what I'm looking for". Simple to fill, know exactly how much eliquid I have, and throat hit and flavour on the couple of different juices I tried so far are both very good. Have used on both an Ego and Riva battery. Very happy :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

WTF? Mine is not that good at all. Seems to have gotten worse as the day went on. I'm getting hardly any vapour and I can even feel pulses of heat and cool. Think its heading the way of every other clearo that I've come across!

Looks like some are fantastic and some crap. Of course I'd naturally get one of the crap ones. Might start fidgeting around with it…never ends well that!

  • Registered Users Posts: 813 ✭✭✭mrplop

    If it is a dud you could always replace the wick with steel mesh and make your own coil;

Going to do this myself when mine packs in!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

I guess so. I'm thinking of getting an RTA anyway though. I'd like to have something solid and reliable that I can do myself.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

you'll be waiting a few months I'd say for an RTA, he makes a batch every two weeks and the list was huge last time I looked at it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

    Feck...........might scrap that idea then.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

the RDA has a shorter waiting list, just be a few weeks for that I'd say

they're well worth it though, order now and put a few quid aside every week. youll be able to afford them easily and when you get them you'll fall in love

or you could spend the next week refreshing the ukvap[[ers classified section every 10 seconds, might get an RTA that way :)

The RDA is only for dripping though isn't it? I spend quite a bit of time in a car so that wouldn't really suit unfortunately.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

    yeah it's a dripper
holds a lot of juice, but I guess unless you can set it upright it wouldn't be suitable.. it will probably leak if left on its side

Mine was even worse this morning so I removed the tip and took out the rubber/spike. The coil looked good and the wick looked clean too so I dont know what was wrong. I rinsed a few times with water and followed up with some ethanol and reassembled and it's much better now.

Still on the cool side but warmer than yesterday and the flavour and vapour are significantly improved. Maybe it wasn't wicking properly for some reason or other.

    Here's a Spanish version of the Genesis rebuildable atty which is easier to get hold of;

    http://todovapor.eu/es/atomizadores-reparables/190-genisis-lv-electra-pipes.html

Not cheap, this stuff never is.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

no, but if you're going to be vaping for a while yet you'll save a lot on having to buy cartomisers/atomisers every few weeks plus the improved performance

    tempting enough that one..

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

Are you using that one yourself would be interested to know how someone is getting on with it?

I don't have this atty but I'll be getting one I think.

    Here's a (Google)translation;

The Genisis LV spray is made in Germany by Electra Pipes.

Made entirely in stainless steel with the best technology, this spray is known for its high quality, into your system with the reservoir at the top, his great respect for the taste of the liquid, its high reliability and easy configuration as it comes mounted only failing to set the fuse to suit the user.

As if this were not enough has 2 year warranty.

    repairable Tank/Dripping atomiser

Thanks, guessed that but just wasn't sure. What's the advantage over a carto? Better flavour and money saving long term?

Yeah, I've asked to be updated when they have them coming in again. I'm going to take a punt on it as well raher tha waiting for ages for the RTA.

That Google Chrome translate yoke is great!

better flavour/vapour/throathit and you can adjust it to your tastes

you can make a 1.8ohm coil or a 3 ohm coil or whatever and yeah over time it works out cheaper as you just need wire and wick, either fibreglass/stainless steel mesh

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

It is very handy it even works on the Russian websites and there's some mad vaping gear available over there.!!

Am I right in saying that the RDA/RTA usually talked about here are the ones made by clockworks on the ukvapers forum?

    yep

Well, i hit the 3 month since i had my last cigarette mark last Monday(yay, go me) So i decided to treat myself to two new tanks, incase i feel the need to move away from the ACTv4 for a while.

Picked up a Mini-Sub from momandpopvaporshop after getting a tip off from newmark about it being a great little tank.

also picked up a Star Wars "Dark Side approved" red and black fuel tank from electronicstix in the states.

  • Registered Users Posts: 984 ✭✭✭newmark

Fair play to you on the 3 month mark. You won't feel time going and you will reach the 3 year mark and be €10000 overdrawn from spending it on mods and vaping gear :D

Its handy to have a few tanks anyway so you can have a few flavours on the go at the same time.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 3,759 Mod ✭✭✭✭eeloe

The way i'm going lately i won't have a cent saved up! :)

Gonna have to start doing the DIY route with flavours i think...time to dig up that DIY thread i think.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

ordered 30ml of swedish fish and some swedish fish diy flavour from alba vapours

its kind of like vaping refreshers

lemon and lime with some other fruit, with a weird fizz/twang on the exhale
    it's amazing

I just ordered the Bulli A2 classic and the upgrade kit to the mega tank system from the bulli website.
Looking forward to trying it out, I'm sure from following the ze bulli thread that there are some fun times ahead!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

I'm getting the one from Andrei in a couple of weeks when he has them in stock. He's going to do the first coil for me I think.

Good man, i recommend you get this as well in stainless steel.
    http://www.vapor-age.com/701-mouth-piece-to-510901-drip-tip-adapter-_p_51.html

Gonna buy another one next week when i get my 02 card sorted.

This will enable you to drip with the a2 classic.

You can use the cart and filler way or just drip into it which i prefer.
