    I heard Beasty got out of hospital today after a nasty crash at the John Haldane race in Newry yesterday.
    He's badly beaten up but far from crushed.
    I'd just like to wish him all the best and say we're all hoping for an early recovery and that I hope to see him back on the bike (and on strava) soon.

    2 broken wrists. 2 breaks in ths neck a broken cheeckbone and lots of aches. Can't remember what happenened. Apparently was out cold for around 15 mins. Just home - thanks for all the good wishes

    Wow that's some war wound list. Makes my current broken wrist seem like a scratch.

    Sorry to hear this Beasty. Heard the news yesterday but did not think it was so bad. Wishing you a full and prompt recovery. You'll be back on the bike in no time. I'm sure there's a few KOM holders around the North County tonight breathing a sigh of relief ;-)

    Jesus ...you dont often crash but when you do ,well, you do it properly.
