Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I leave this forum for a day, and this is what happens? Honestly...

Sofia is beautiful, but it can be difficult to socialise or anything if you don't speak Bulgarian.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking tbh. The job specifies that it's English language based, but the language would definitely be an issue.

    *sigh* The dilemma goes on...

Nice new name btw, though I fear and resent change so it'll be about six months before it seems normal. :P

Apply anyway. The interview practice will be valuable if nothing else.

I've been facing a similarish dilemma here in the Netherlands, but decided applied for the job anyway.

    F*ck it, be grand. :D

Ive developed this weird fear as a passenger. Ive done so much driving, been in so many near accidents that now when im a passenger and someone starts to go fast i actually hold on for dear life. i actually cant look out the windows anymore without that feeling of not being in control. just feel were not going to brake in time or gonna go into a wall. :( i honestly and physically cant handle it guess karmas a beach and i deserve it for some reason

I think alcoholfreezes at like minus 30 or minus forty. Freezers usually are about minus 20. You should be sorted

Jesus lads, not even Kulov froze.

How much is that sh*te now? (I drink vodka so rarely that I buy expensive* stuff because I'm done drinking paint stripper).

*Obviously expensive is relative. I'm not exactly buying Grey Goose. :pac:

Smirnoff doesn't freeze. At least it hasn't in any freezer I've left it in for a prolonged period of time.

That's definitely not meant to freeze! You sure no one put water in it or something? (I used to do that as a teen to avoid my parents finding out I'd taken some).

  • Registered Users Posts: 230 ✭✭sibby

Found this old thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=61695665. Seems like it could be plausible! Apparently 37.5% freezes at -25 C. Normally a freezer is somewhere around -18 C though!

Recently there's been a couple of websites (including onedrive) that haven't been working properly in either Chrome or Firefox. Something is seriously wrong when everything works fine in IE. :pac:

If it's any way similar to getting a blood test then it's grand, no significant pain.

Sorry for prying but is there a reason? Find it a bit sad some can't cause of know some would Love to help others.

Find it funny enough that there's so much blood in the world yet certain times during the year it becomes scarce

Just on the topic of giving blood, and my adoration of Alan Cumming.

Just discovered that they've changed the laws on weed here. As of today it is (still) legal to grow 5 plants for your personal use. But now it is illegal to run a shop that sells equipment used to grow weed, lamps etc etc.

They've been doing this over the past few years, tightening the laws more and more about drugs here. You now get a criminal record for being found in possession of one ecstasy tablet. With weed though, I just don't get it. Coffee shops aren't effected, but that probably draws in way too much tax to touch.

This is probably a pretty pointless rant as I've never touched any drugs in my life *halo glows* but it's the faffing around with laws that pisses me off. Imo it messes up the liberal image of this country. There's a pretty conservative government in power for the past couple of years, and general consensus is that they're idiots. But it's a very different idiocy to Irish politics, a lot tamer. :pac:

    /pointless rant

It's legal to grow 5 plants here?? I'm not a big smoker so I wouldn't be aware of the laws but that's something I never knew

The huge increase in the esb bill would put ya off though. probably tip the cops off too.
you'd be nearly forced to start selling. Growing for personal use wouldn't be financially viable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,068 ✭✭✭LoonyLovegood

    Mod

Theoretical growing is fine, but no discussion of where to buy seeds/weed/any assorted paraphernalia. The discussion is going VERY close to the line.

It's cool, it's a family thing...no one can give blood in my direct family cos one of us came down with a particular illness that immediately blocks all blood relatives from giving blood...or something like that, I'm not 100% on the details!

I think it could rule me out as an organ doner too which sucks :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,776 ✭✭✭Jhcx

Sorry to hear that. im hoping to someday get the courage and go for one be nice to give something.

In other news recent study of 15k lads has brought down the average size of a lads reproductive organ lol. as sad as this may sound kinda makes me little bit relieved that im above average. i dont know, its that mentality thing nearly all lads have and everyone ive been with just looks and doesnt comment and its like omg say something. So ya said id share that news with ye in case anyone was in the same boat by chance
