Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Back in Tipp to do some jobs with Mammy before heading to the coalface :p

Been off for a week, where did the time go?

MrsSmurfjed has spent the last week scuba diving off a boat in the middle of nowhere, she is totally disconnected from the world, as soon as she lands tomorrow morning she is going to get hit by a battery of messages and FB, about the death of our friend. Not looking forward to this.

Very sorry for your loss Smurfjed.
I'm sure that after the initial shock MrsS will be relieved to be around to help support you and be there for you at least, and vice versa. You've had a horrible few days.

Home, spent two hours on the beach with Richo

The rest of the evening will be spent looking at The Frankenstein Chronicles on Netflix and drinking a few beers, might even take a whiskey to bed :D

Just heard it now on the news, very shocked also tbh.

Been busy all day, just sat down with a glass of wine.

Watching the news and 2 things (which I often think about anyway) came to mind, some people who are supposedly outraged at someone being treated like s**t for having a baby outside of marriage a few years ago should take a good fcuking look at how they treated women in a similar position and secondly something needs to be done to make it easier for people to separate when property /children are involved.
Sorry for a bit of a rant.

I was wondering what the black haired actresses name is?
She looks like the one who played Saint in ''Hex'' and Jenny in ''Outlander ''.

Today I'm doing the usual . Getting things organised before I move. Managed to see a few old friends to say g'bye-for-now, and some new people. Lots of thinking and coming to terms with things, at the same time .

Taking my tea outside to smell the lillies which are incredible on the evening air..

He is the biggest softie you'll ever meet.

The only problem is if you pet him you've committed to petting him for hours upon hours!.

Out of pure curiosity, is anyone awake?? Never seen things this slow on a Saturday night. That said, I would either be in bed by now or working late. Working late tonight.:D

    Nearly finished though.

    I’m up for a bit G

Tried to make beans on toast when I got in after work, but the toaster tripped the switch and now we’ve lost all electricity. Need to contact the security guard guy to come put it back on so that all the food I have in the freezer doesn’t go to waste, but he’s not answering his phone

Just flick the trip switch back to the up position. It really is that easy.:D And if its the toaster, feck the old one out and buy a new one!

Realised the locked box that has the trip switch in it wasn’t locked at all and I sorted it! I truly am a genius :D:rolleyes: to bed with me shortly

Sounds a bit dodge, but perhaps... should I?
Just finished watching Tales of the City on Netflix - the latest season in San Francisco-dorm. Ran in unique seasons set in late 80's and then 90's 00's and latest 10's! Nostalgic but very future positive too, which was cool and refreshing. SF was the coolest city ever, hope it gets that back - I half grew up there and miss it!

As for Benidorm, it's really worth a watch. 10 feckin seasons up now. Easy viewing. If you have been on a foreigner all inclusive in Spain, you'll get it big time!

In hospital ...finally got moved up to a ward from A&E. Nothing life threatening, I hope.

Issue with my heart rate and blood pressure through the roof that is hopefully being moderated by medication.

You should have given me a shout on FB when you were admitted.

Hope you're doing ok, give me a shout if you need anything dropped up (you're in a Dublin hospital?).

Sitting here taking a break from my Sunday morning routine, house cleaning. But starvation took over and I needed to eat.

Training rest day today so I'll cycle or walk, might do a smallish hike (photos to follow if I do).

Btw, my beach photos. If you're wondering where it is, we walk on Portmarnock beach (down the Baldoyal bay end) so if you ever see the happiest white and brindle pitbull named Richo (you'll know because the poor lad is going deaf and I have to keep shouting after him), well its likely us!.

Just approach and say ''Excuse me sir, are you from the internet?'' :D

On my hotel bed trying to get motivated to go back out into the chaos that is Bangalore. Spent yesterday traipsing around malls and markets trying to find some shoes. I brought 3 pairs of flip flops and my travelling crocs (don't judge, they are pretty flowery ones and are perfect for travelling as they give me spongyiness while doing marathons around airports and can wear my flight socks with them and easily kick them off and slip them on while flying) (dammit, now going to be judged for taking my shoes off on flights but I usually have a row to myself due to my allergies). I have hurt in between my big toe and the next toe on one of my feet so can't wear my flip flops and my crocs are really not suitable for work and going out so need shoes. It was nearly impossible to find a flat, comfy pair of sandles or shoes that I can wear for work.

    Will try again today.

I bought salt and lemon toothpaste yesterday. Was very tempted to buy tequila too.

Just booked my flight home for my sister's wedding next month, and that is about the only thing keeping me from feeling sorry for myself.

Bed, catching up on the last few days.

Smurfjed, so sorry to read. Look after yourself xx

    Sorry to see bones go.

The humidity is killing me, have had a rough few days, really trying to do a bit of soul searching as a result, but sinuses are acting up because of the weather and it just makes me tired! Soul searching and tired don't go well together!
